Just a couple quick ?'s for you. Do you have ANY experiance tuning anything computer controlled? If so what were you using software wise.
Most of these high end softwares are NOT to user friendly for the non experianced. Don;t get me wrong they have chat boards and on line help but hands on are two different things. And some are more user friendly to learn with than others.Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!

you are looking at more than that to tune yourself. since im ASSUMING you dont own your own dyno you will be doing a street tune doing it yourself which means you will need a wideband o2 sensor to make sure that you get your A/F ratio right. Im not sure if Hp tuners comes with data logging or not but that would also be a very useful thing to have. In fact the last High Performance Pontiac magazine that came out has the low down on all the tuning tools you will need. Just buying Hp tuners and tuning from there would be very dangerous without any of the other tools.
now if you are just wanting to be a little safer since you are going to be running spray and you dont have the experience or tools to tune properly then I would consider something more along the lines of the Diablosport Predator. I am pretty sure when you talk to them you can tell them what you have done to your car and they will install a tune to match your mods that you can just upload and then you can still modify perimeters from there. For instance if you have an aftermarket MAF, longtube headers, and say rollerrockers like my freind had then Diablo will send you a tune for that to upload and then when you want to run nitrous you can modify your perimeters from there to retard your ignition timing and run a few percent richer. hope this helps since I am cramping up my wrist from typing lol.
