Smile How much did you spend to get Nitrous

The need for more power, more like lust has taken over me. I'm going to get a custom grind cam and a few other mods, but I'm considering the Bottle after that. I have High Compression and Don't want to change my N/A Setup much. How much have you guys spent to properly and safely add the bottle. Also what kind of times are you running at the track N/A and on juice. Thanks

You could do a complete kit (Wet Nitrous Kit, Window Switch, Fuel Pressure Safety Switch, Set of NGK TR-6 Spark Plugs, Nitrous Bottle Heater Kit, and a purge) for $769.00. You'll be fine with the high compression. If you do add timing with your tune I would suggest retarding it when you spray.

...there's a key difference between "have spent" and "could spend"

I spent $499* for my NX 20920 kit, $6* for the NX switches and $669 on the Maximizer II all from TByrne; $95 for my NX purge and $20 for NGK-6 plugs from Summit; $175* for my NX bottle opener and $235* for the GEN-X kit, both from Finish Line Performance; I also got another pressure sensor for $100 from Nitro Dave's to work with my Maximizer. Then, to make sure I'm not too lean/rich $378* for my wideband from FJO. The only thing that wasn't on sale was the Maximizer. Sucks 'cause it went on sale a month after I got it.

I spent well over $2000 ($2151 for just the numbers above).

I spent a lot on miscellanous crap like extra jets, different colored wires so I don't get confused during the install (red and blue can only be used so many times) but I'll leave that out. I'm also not including my Racetronix pump from Thunder Racing ($250). If you throw in the gauge pod, elec. n2o, elec. fuel psi, and a/f gauge (TByrne, Summit, eGauges, eGauges) you can add another $500. I also bought HPTuners and a laptop, but I could have borrowed the laptop. So add $499 for the software.

If you add up everything that I spent relating to nitrous (n2o junk, gauges, fuel & tuning) it comes to roughly $4000 So much for a cheap power adder huh? But then again, I like to go overboard.

Full kit, purge, digital window sw, FPSS,2 cobalt gauges (a/f, and n2o press)1 dynotune n20 switch gauge and gauge pod, custom blow down,----about $1300. Paid install would probably total $2000.
