    Dual Purge

    Hey guys new here, Just purchased a Zex Nitrous kit for my ls1. Awaiting it in the mail. I wanted the purge to come out the Nostril(s) of the ram air, but was unsure how it would look. Is the Zex dual purge kit the only and best way to go? heres a vid I found of the dual purge

    Where do you have your purge(s) at?

    I have the Zex purge kit. It's a single outlet though. I shoot mine across my windshield.

    Injuneer on CamaroZ28.com has a dual Vee coming out of his scoop. He has a picture of it somewhere. Fun to watch but I'm too cheap to waste the stuff.

    No it's not the only way, and it may not necessarily be the best way, but it could be... depends on your preference. If you're looking to save money, go to a hardware store and pick up some brass fittings in their plumbing section to create your own Y-split. They should also have nylon tubing that you can use to connect to the solenoid, the Y, and to wherever your outlet is. Is brass cheap? Yes, but it's only a purge, right? How high quality does it really need to be?

    Cool set up Mrr23, I will do that instead of forking over 124$ just to have a dual purge.

    Also being a nitrous newb, I need gauges now so I wont blow my engine up right? Nitrous pressure and fuel pressure, Am I missing anything else??

    I've noticed that Nitrous pressure gauge is going to be pretty expensive atleast 124 - 200$

    Any one know where to get some gauges that wont break the bank, that will get the job?

    a fuel pressure gauge isn't a bad idea. some will suggest a widedband.

    if you are wanting one that you can mount in the passenger compartment, yes. i have a small gauge on each bottle. about $30.00

    i use electric gauges. that way, i don't have to buy a fuel pressure isolator to keep fuel from being inside the passenger compartment. so, to be safe, it won't be a cheap gauge.

    Because if your blowing any real amount of juice you must motor purge a couple to few times if your not running a purge solenoid. And if they can't tell by how fast the motor is reving then I dought they have a fast car anyways. You can gain up to a couple of tenths.

    I think that he meant why give away the fact that you have nitrous, why not keep it a secret.( Sleeper)

    and what ls2tuner was getting at was while you are doing a burnout, you flip the nitrous on and purge into the motor. that way, you get liquid nitrous up to the noid without expelling it into the air. and most people aren't the wiser. unless they can tell the sudden increase in rpms for a second.

    i used to do it that way until i started using purges.

    REALLY.............................????? Yeah I cought that the first time I was just explaining why we purge.......... Has NOTHING to do with looks!!!!!
