Do I need a nitrous controller?
i have a 98 ss m6. right now mods are 228R cam, 5.3l heads, lt headers ory, loudmouth, bbk intake, 85mm throttlebody, slp maf, lid, smooth bellows. i bought hsw single nozzle dry nitrous kit. i plan on doing 75-100 shot. im going to be gettin my car dyno tuned as well. do i need a nitrous controller? i have on order the micro edge controller from hsw http://www.harrisspeedworks.com/shop...cat=308&page=1
But i dont know if i really need it or if its just a waste of money. i looked at the features and they dont really seem that necessary. im not going to be using spray that much and im not gonna be spraying at low rpms or even in low gears so do i really need the controller? tell what you guys think.

I would view it as more of a fall back feature. I know I personally wouldn't ever run a nitrous kit without a window switch. All it takes is 1 time for an accidental flip of a switch and you're loading up your cylinders with too much pressure at too low of an RPM. We need to remember that nitrous is not rpm based. Its going to dump the same amount into the motor regardless of its RPM.

With an M6, I would definately get a window swith. Ive got a built A4 so I spray through the shifts and just use the throttle switch, but on an m6 if you activate too early and it bogs then youre most likely going to have a nitrous backfire. Not only that, but without a window switch on the m6 if you spin and hit the rev limiter you will still be spraying and could hurt your motor.
