    150 Wet Shot

So i was browsing around and came up on this:
Dynotune Wet nitrous Kit w/ 150 hp jets
    10lb Bottle
    Bottle Brackets
    Blow Down Tube
    New Bottle heater
    MSD Digital Window Switch
    Zex Bottle pressure gauge
    FPSS
    WOT Switch
    Brand New 14164 NOS Heater
    HSW Purge Solenoid
Nitrous Outlet Center Console Switch Panel with Nitrous Pressure Gauge

my mods are in my sig but i will have a slp lid, ls6 intake, and fernco bellows by the time this would go on (if it would go on)

now. i wouldnt use this at all if ever on the streets.... this would be more of a "haha look at my dyno numbers" or "yeah i have nos" bragging rights kind of mod

my question is... would i need to get a catch can and replace my 26# with the 28#injectors? and what plugs would i need?
i know tune is everything... and it would be dyno tuned for this mod...
    what are your opinions?

I've never used NO2 myself, but have seen other do. So from what I know about it, I would look at getting higher lb injectors and maybe consider a Racetronix fuel pump upgrade too. You are not going to have enough fuel pumping to keep up with a shot like that.

A catch can would only help in filtering the oil from the intake, so not sure how it would help in this case....BUT.....I recommend getting a CC anyways for the exact reason I stated in the first part of this sentence.

well i am 100% new to nos. i know of one guy my sister went to high school with.
nos is kinda of rare around here... (and id have to drive 45mins to fill it up)

and i read that oil in the engine will increase chance for detonation.. same with low RPM and lower octane gas

so basically this is going to be a $1000 upgrade then?
    cuz
    Fuel pump 255 $100
    Injectors... 42#? ~$450
    Catch can $180
Plugs (if ACDelcos dont work) $50
    Dyno Tuned $400

you may need to ask this question in the FI section. More pll in there with knowledge of NO2.

I've read here somewhere a while back one of the members had said that 75-100 shot is ok on stock internals, 120 you will need to beef up some stuff, but 150 you will need to forge the internals or your going to blow it up.

In 91 I had a chevy 455 built for my truck, truck got t-bone and couldn't find anything to put it in. I sold it and the guy that bought it put it into a 72 Nova. About 3 weeks later I went to the track to watch him run it. At the time I didn't know he had added 150 shot NO2 system. The run that I saw came off as rough. when he got back to the pit , it was idling very rough. I check his rpm gauge and it maxed out. Told him he should check his block, was brushed off, he runs it again and blew the block into 3 pieces. At least his checked cleared the bank.

I wouldn't go over a 125 shot on stock internals.

Zero experience with the juice here though.

Don't you already have the 28.5# injectors? I know they came on the 98s and I didn't think they went to 26# injectors until they started using the LS6 intakes.

    '98, '01, '02 had 28.8# injectors and '99, '00 had 26# injectors.

There are people around here running 150 shots on stock blocks, but that's because the local tuner here kicks ass. The highest I would go untuned is 100, and then I would have to have a timing controller and use the 2*/50hp method...so 4* total timing retarded.
    '02 ws6.....mods? nope

A friend of mine is spraying 150 on a stock block. It's all in the tune, pull the correct timing amount, get good gas and run Non-Projected spark plugs. A 150 shot will need a 7 heat range plug and you will want to do your tune with that plug in it or add a stand alone fuel cell.

But if that makes you nervous just do the 100 shot and run it. That's what I'm doing on my red bird.

150 wet shot here too on stock bottom end. ive got the stock injectors and fuel pump and im doing just fine. im wired to a push button set-up with an arming switch. but since you are new to nitrous i would use a window switch along with a WOT switch just to be safe. thats what i started using and began with a 75 dry shot just to get the feeling down then i jumped up to the 150. jus make sure your tuning is on spot and go out there and have fun

    just remember its addicting

You are going to hurt yourself with a 150 shot...just throwing that out there

150 to start is WAY too much IMO.

Dry kits are sprayed into a lid or bellow or typically before the MAF, and without a fuel mixture. A wet shit is a fuel/nitrous mixture that's most commonly used with a TB plate system, then you get into the more exotic direct port systems. I stay away from dry kits though.

Agreed. Wet is the way to go.
