    04 GTO Nitrous Dyno Numbers

Got the ol gal on the Mustang Dyno today...I attach the sheets.
First pull was all motor....no juice
    388 RWHP 374 Torque
So for comparison a DynoJet would be 420-430RWHP 410-420 Torque

Now for the fun part....a 100 shot (wet)
487RWHP 581 Torque and as you can see we shut it down at 5900 and it was still climbing.....so for the DynoJet Dyno comparison the juiced Mustang numbers are around 520-530RWHP and 620-630 Torque

But screw dyno numbers....holy shit! I took her out and let her rip....good Gawd almighty.....cannot wait to get her to the track next Wednesday.....

OMG! That's just not a fare fight. Great numbers. So......remind me that if I ever run across you @ a track "out in the country", not to run against you. Nice work.

nice sarge.. I knew you would come to the dark side. I need to take mine back to the dyno. Before I did some internal motor mods with a 125 shot i did 450 horse/ 550 torque. nothing close to yours though freaken sweet. Tommorow night is midnight madness I am tempted to go..

Man that car is a beast. I bet it will turn good numbers at the track as long as you get traction. You might blow the Nitto's. With that kind of power they may not stand a chance. Go ahead and put slicks on it then you will have an excuse to buy a 12 bolt for it when it breaks the 10 bolt.

Wow, is there really that much difference between a Mustand and a Dynojet? That's 10-12.5%. Have you run your car on both to see if it is really that different. I ran on both types almost back to back about three years ago and have only a 2.5-3% difference when adjusted for SAE standrd temp and pressure. Lingenfleter told me they see "less than a 5%" difference in testing on theirs (they have both).

Regarless, that is impressive either way. NOS is so cool, at least until the bottle runs dry.

Yes...what we do is turn off the resistance to the rollers....viola you have a dynojet....it is pretty consistent at around 10%...I do agree with your observations though as calibration is such an inexact science on these dyno machines....dyno A and dyno B and dyno C are all calibrated by the book and all three read different numbers....Mustang out of Ohio will tell you point blank the calibration is a +/- 5% window...so it is never a dead nut number....
I would further contend a Mustang tunes your car much more effectively than a DynoJet machine.....when adjusting A/F with a load you get a real world adjustment....as the load requires more fuel....you adjust A/F without a load and your really running lean in the real world versus the no load DynoJet world....

Nice #'s. Now time to get it to the track. Those nittos aren't gonna cut it though. Might consider a set of MT DR's. Congrats!
