+1 for the Hooker Aero Chamber. It's one of the best flowing and sounding ones you'll find on the market. i bought it mainly because it flows good and had the stock tailpipes on for a while, but then I installed 3.5 magnaflow tips and now the sound is great IMO.

Did your sound get deeper with those 3.5 inch tips? I had some 3.5 tips on my '67 LeMans, it had a real deep sound to it. I still have the stock 2.5 inch tailpipes with the 7" rolled chrome slant cuts, I think the 3.5s will fill out the tailpipe area better. Any pics of your tips?

That sounds great. What kind of tips are those, are they part of the Hooker catback? This is the sound I am looking for, my exhaust setup is similar with LT, ORY. Also, what is the SLP flow pack, is it a CAI kit or part of the exhaust?
My current muffler baffle problem has somehow fixed itself, but it still has a sorta raspy sound and not as deep as yours. I know it is only a matter of time before it comes loose again and sounds shitty.

It did get deeper. the inlet at the muffler was 2.5 but the shop had to widen them out a bit before they could weld them on, and then it opens up for the last two feet to a 3.5. I don't have any pics of the tips on the car but i've seen them on Firebirds before and they look good IMO.

I just finished my Hooker Y and Catback install this past Friday. Idle is quiet with a slight rumble and just cruising there is no interior resonance. Once you put your foot down it gets loud. It was exactly what I was looking for and there is very little rasp.

Thanks.
This thread is now 12-2 for the Hooker, I will get it done sometime this winter.
Just had to do a $650 unplanned repair to the transmission in the Jeep, so the muffler will wait a month or two from now.
Also, since it is cold I am getting some seat heaters for the cars. I've driven some cars with them, they are f'n awesome.

No doubt Hooker, i even posted a vid in the Kills section showing how it sounds on my ride. No drone, deep and when you get on the throttle it sounds nice. Cruising speeds its very toned down so you can have a conversation without yelling.

+1 for hooker, i dont have it on my car purely for the fact that i want stock sounding, i got dual e-cutouts for loud as i want it but even still i am considering swaping out the stocker for an aero, if i do this that is definatly the brand i will use...
on a side note, want some 2.5 to 3in hooker european tips? they are slash cut and dual.....would look great on the back of a Bird...

Thanks for the offer, but I am going to get some 3.5 inch rolled slash similar to stock, but 3.5 instead of the 2.5 stock. I wanted to keep the stock look out back, but the 2.5 inch are just look too small.
