I can see why everyone rads on evo's. They can be quick, that's about it - for me atleast.

Ya Evos arent bad, i just dont care for the look of them. Or the exhaust note from the back. I can respect what they're capable of though.

nothing wrong to losing to a termi, they are nasty cars. Its gonna take a lot of work to run with them, even if they have minor minor work done.

It doesn't take a lot of work to run with a "mild" modded Cobra. A H/C LS1 will run with a pullied/bolt-on Cobra. As far as a more extensively modded terminator of course it takes more.

Key words HEADS AND CAM! A cobra with just a pulley, intake and exhaust is gonna be making around 450 to the wheels. You will need a H/C setup along will all the bolt ons. Not to mention suspension, rearend, gears etc...

Hell, mine did 428 rwhp on a Dynojet (std. numbers, which are a little higher than SAE numbers) with just intake and mufflers, and a stock (i.e., rich) tune.

Pullied cobras with a good custom tune can easily achieve 470 plus at the wheels, non ported. 450 is whats to be expected with a basic mail order tune.

1st, I would hope someone that was going to do Heads & Cam on any car wouldn't leave out the necessary supporting BOLT-ONS.

Second, gears are not actually a required item. I've seen quick numbers at the track w/ stock gears, and stout H/C LS1 cars from a roll with stock gears.

And while were mentioning what numbers each car is capable of producing, don't forget LSx's can and have produced over 500rwhp naturally-aspirated on many occasions. Heck, 440rwhp was done with a CAM-ONLY. But I refuse to get into the endless Cobra vs. LS1 debate anymore.
