    happen to me 3wks after i got my car...3 badly bent pushrods, i got off easy could of been worst.

    I know the feeling. I tried to powershift from 2-3 and crammed it back in first one good time. Fortunately, I got out of it and pulled back down into neutral pretty quickly. Pretty scary, but no major damage!

    To the OP -- at 60 - 70 on the highway, you should go for 3rd (assuming you still have the stock 3.42's). You should be able to get a good pull up to around 100 mph.

    I have 3.90's, so 65 is my sweetspot for 3rd and I'm hopping into 4th relatively quickly. Even more so for the guys with 4.10's.

    3rd is a killer gear at 65 but 4th gear for manipulating freeway traffic will out pull almost everything else. Just leave it in 4th and you'll smoke the traffic.

    yeah 4th will pull pretty good with-out being wot and all out.

    I tryed to smoke an old man and his son(i think) in a goldish acura. So i left it in 4th.

    Turned out to be a Kompressor, found that out once he got about 2 lenghts on me fast. lol i ment to make a thread about that in the kill section

    3rd gear is what I hit on the expressway. Depends if the guy you slow down a ways before the run. After I cammed my car, my power band is a tad higher than a stock LS1 but I don't see myself shifting down to 2nd at 70mph.
