SS VS. Who Wins
Starting this thread for a little correct information on here, which I think is important. I've been reading ridiculous kill stories and I can't take it anymore. I'd like to set up and get legitimate cars stock for stock or slightly modded with bolt ons that compete and who wins against the LS series. Here's why I am angry.
I just had someone telling me they beat a 2002 SS in a speed 3 in a 40-100mph race......
Now, because I haven't personally raced one I don't want to say it because it defeats the purpose of this thread, but a speed 3 can't beat an ss, I'm sorry. I'd like to know an SS with LTH and Catback, intake against an 03 Cobra, how close would it be, that's the one I want, but I'd like to hear more.

Black- '91 turbo fox, '97 vette
This is just a bad idea. Everyone is going to start fighting and talking about how a modded this compares to a modded that. If you want to know how stock cars compare, pick up a motor trend, car & Driver, Road & Track, and flip to the best where the road test compilations usually are. Or best yet, just go down to the local drag strip and find out.

Silver- 2004 SVT Cobra
I think a 6-speed LS1 with full bolt-ons and a good tune would take a stock Cobra, it would be close though.

FWIW
I ran a best of 8.6 with mostly 8.8's in the 1/8th. 100% stock convertible. No high rev launches or high throttle speed shifts....
Driving it like you stole it, likely could be quicker....
