LOL, he was prob smart
Also prob stock motor. Most people who own them use them for drifting, very few drag. Im the only one were I live.
My old Lt1 383 stroked trans am I built I raced it a few months back at the track against my 240 and Sadly the trans am was no competition, I figured it would at least stay with me to the 60ft, But I had a good half a car on it by the 60ft and 4 cars in the 1/8th mile. Almost a repeat of that Mustang.
But I liked the trans am B/C it was A4 and Very consistent. ran a 8.54-8.56 EVERY pass, with a consistent 2.0 60ft on street tires, with no stall.
my 240 varies, Mostly b/c Im having a hard time hooking on those DR's, but it varies from 7.50-7.80 every pass, But its 5 speed too, My 2 step i installed helped me ALOT in the 60ft. alot ore consistent.

ya true, I never race on the street anymore myself, its just too risky, ESP for a modified car, cause most cops will throw you under the bus when caught.
But I never turn down a challenge at the track :} Win or loose Ill put up the best fight I can.

dunno, the nearest 1/4 mile track to me is Bristol which is a 4hr drive. I have never ran it. I would like to see tho. Just guessing it should be in the low 11's around 120mph,
I hit 4th gear in the 1/8th, about 4500rpm trap.

lol, ya im running the stock 408 gear, and with the rb tranny it gears it even lower. But it pulls just as hard in 4th as it does in 1st and 2nd.

LOL, well, It has a few victories on a few ls1 camaro's and t/a's but with a few bolt ons you would be good.
There is 2 ss camaro's I run with , one has a lid, intake, exhaust, headers,3.73 gears, Built tranny with a 4000 stall and 100shot of nitrous that runs very close with me, He puts 1/2 car on me just past 300ft mark and stays right there through the 1/8th, he runs between 7.35-7.40's in the 1/8th I like racing him, B/c one slip and im all over it LOL, which is the kind of racing I like. The closer the better, I have more fun.

Yea I plan on buying 2 lbs of sand soon and I will put it right next to my TB and have my friend hit the gas so it would circulate through the intake manifold and port and polish my motor.
After 2 bags I am going to get custom headers so it would go back to the TB for everlasting turbo effect. I call it DEI Direct Exhuast Injection
