350Z with bad taste in personalized plates.

So coming back from Raleigh today on highway 40 and im just cruising with the tops off enjoying the day and next thing i know there is this annoying sounding exhaust coming up beside me, so I look over and it is this black 350Z with what sounds like a exhaust from a civic. He opens it up and goes past me and I look at his license plate and it says FUR V8. So im thinking Fuck Your V8 how clever, maybe if he was driving a 6 cylinder with some balls behind it like a porsche but a 350 nope that was stupid. So I start pulling up next to him and he looks over at me and floors it. I down shift at 65mph to 4th floor it pull past him and put a couple car lengths on him and then let up at 120. He keeps coming on at full speed so I put the pedal back to the floor and keep him from catching me until I hit traffic and let off. At this point he hits his brakes falls way back and never even tries to come up next to me again. I really hope he was embarresed by what his plate said and the fact that he just got beat by a V8.

What gears do you have? 65mph and 4th?-- that is a prime spot for third gear.

My third gear takes me from about 70 to about 105 mph.

But hey if 4th did the trick, that is even funnier. You beat him starting in 1 gear higher.

I've smoked a 350Z before and I was stock. Guy had his girlfriend in the passenger seat too and came up on me thinking he was badass. Didn't even look at me after I put 3 car lengths on him from 35-80. Girlfriend liked my car though. Gave me a thumbs up when he passed by.

I was kinda guessing at the speed i know i was doing somewhere between 65 and 70 but thats all it took and im all stock except for a lid. But if I had put it in 3rd it would have been even more embarassing, hes not the first 350 i have beat you see them all over Greensboro so I knew it would not take much I have even beat one of the new G37S, now that took a 3rd gear roll from 70 to put a hurting on him.

There was a black 350 Z here in Jacksonville with stickers all over the side that was screwing with me on 24 for a couple miles.. my sister was following me home so I didn't want to play... but after I heard him drop it.. I said screw it.. and hit the gas (This was back when I was 100% stock.. jsut got the car) and there was no contest.. put several lengths on him.. backed off and looked over.. and he did the ricer flyby and never looked...

Only real cool 350z driver I ran into was completely decked out widebody conversion, I asked him if he wanted to go and he said "I wouldn't have bought this car if I wanted to race v8's"

so he admited defeat !
