got killed but still happy I hung in there.

well not a kill but it makes me feel better . was on the interstate sat night and ran into a 07 mustang he pulls next to me and gives it a quick drop to see what I'm going to do. so I line up and let him hit it thinking he is stock. he pulled half a car and stayed there. my car from aqbout 65 to 90 was pulling out to much timing for torque managment so it was sluggish there but I only was 1 car behind at about 100 then I started to pull on him a little as torque managment let off ( has been fixed since runs like a beast now) then he let off at about 120 so rqace over I lost. We both get off at the same exit and talk through the window at the light he has a procharger making 506 hp and a manual I have turbo with 3.73 and built art carr tranny making 437 hp and 448 tq so I feel good about hanging as well as I did. but now I gotta have more (forged stroker 18 to 20 lbs of boost good heads and cam dana 60).

I thought you could get up to around 500rw on a basically stock motor and high boost? Not really familiar with those STS kits, may be wrong.

sts claims 506 with 8lbs and stock motor wich is where I am at. But my tuner has tuned a few sts cars and a lot of turbo cars and says I won't get to 506 but with the auto tranny I probably would pull another 30hp if I had the m6. but am still trying to figure out who is right cause I would really like to be in the 500 hp range without doing heads and cam.

I would think you would be making more than 434rwhp with a turbo @ 8psi. That's seems too docile. My bro's '01 formy made 462rwhp with a Procharger @ 8psi w/ a MAF housing and Hooker cat-back as the only other mods.

Here is a spec sheet of his car. http://www.forcefedperformance.com/c...ide.asp?key=21

YEA LIKE i SAID i'M STILL TRYING TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF WHO'S RIGHT AND FIGURE WHERE MY TUNE SHOULD ACTUALLY BE. plus I don't have an intercooler so I have higher manifold air temps and maybe they don't want to be agresive with the tune.

Well there's your first step to making more power! I would recommend meth injection over an intercooler as you won't lose boost with it. That will definitely up the anti.

I am not real familiar with all the aspects of the computer in these cars but when I explained tuner what was going on he said the computer has torque management where it takes out timing as the car is making a certain amount of torque to save the tranny and it also pulls timing for the manifold air temp as it increases on boost. with both of these together it was pulling out to much it is much better now but still needs more adjusting and I still think the car should dyno close to 500 at the rear wheels once I get it figured out.
