A good one is, not to mention the supporting upgrades to do it right; fuel system, inter-cooler and a GOOD tune. I've recently been researching an STS turbo, they are cheap but incomplete. Stage 1 and 2 don't even offer an inter-cooler. Stage 3 comes without intake tubes. Interesting design though. Placed where the muffler was and operates off exhaust gas pressure, NO belt!

My buddie had a Squires kit on his '98 Z28. Experienced too many problems and ended up going with a front-mount kit from HP. Funny thing is his car made a considerable amount more horsepower @ lower boost w/ the front mount kit than the STS.

Torque management is only applied prior to the shift to save the tranny not specific torque output. It pulls timing out right before shifting. Stangs torque management (new ones) can be felt more.

Stangs are worse? Wow, I thought we had it bad. I can't imagine any worse. Glad I got a tune, now second gear gets me sideways!

I heard the 97-98 LS1's have tuning issues. (Jeff at CAM) Something about squirly electronics...

Anyway, he tunes an ass load of LSX's, and he said to get something 99 and newer if available.

So I guess if you have a '97 Corvette or '98 'vette/F-Body your screwed, unless you purchase a '99 or later PCM.

I'm going to talk to my LS1 tuner Keith @ Force Fed Performance and see what he says about this. I'm really curious about it now...
