Royal Purple tranny fluid? Which one?

Im going to be switching what fluids I can over to RP fluids. I was wondering what I should run in the tranny. The book specifies Dexron III automatic fluid. RPs sight lists manual trans. fluid(Syncromax) when automatic fluid is specified or auto trans fluid(Max ATF) when Dexron III is specified. So should I use the max atf? Also does Max-gear work with all rearends?

I have read posts on various boards that discourage the use of synthetic fluid in the 4L60e transmission, I would stick with the Dexron III.

I'm about to run royal purple in my tranny and in my rearend tomorrow, I'll let you know how it turns out. As long as you get the stuff that says that it replaces Dexron III thats the right stuff, I'm getting 75W-90 gear oil, it has the required additive for limited slips.

My transmission guy says you shouldn't use Dex III. He says use the Synchromesh (RP's version of Synchromesh is Synchromax). I've got Synchromax in mine and it's working great.
