Black- 2003 Mustang Cobra
Watch out, they are pretty quick! the newest (strongest ones) I would say are about equal to an M6 LS1 car. We took one in before at the dealership I used to work at, we took it out and romped on it a bit, Gtech'd it and stuff. I was surprised on how EASY it is to launch (mid engine). VERY easy. I used to think they were overrated but i was impressed with how it drove.

That's why I used the word "seemed" (it was the first truly fast car I owned). Especially for under 300 crank horse , and being one hell of a sleeper... since most people see it as an A4. Obviously, its not that fast compared to a 400 rwhp TA or Termi... like I said, it didn't win me any trophies at the track, but it walked all over almost every car (including lightly modded LT1's) that were willing to play on the highways around here.
I'm not trying to get in a pissing match here... the thread asked for info on beating an NSX. I stated that my S4 (listed its mods, some history and my ET) went even from a dig, and only pulled a little from a roll against an unknown year/mods NSX. The info was meant for comparison.... so if a lightly modded/juiced twin turbo S4 is not "that fast" than either is a lightly modded NSX, or LT1.
Can we all agree on this?
So, go find that NSX and give that ricer something to shake his head aboutLast edited by DOCJHH45; 04-23-2008 at 10:53 AM.

A torque converter will improve the 2-3 fall-off considerably.

I highly doubt people who pay $90K+ for a car are ricers. I'm sure you will find a few rich kids out there who have messed these cars up, but if you are buying a NSX brand new- I highly doubt you put a double decker wing, with decals all over it, and a huge fart-can exhaust on it, with cheap neon lights and windshield washer bulbs.
Common sense prevails again!
Rice/ ricer = played out term.
what's next;;; I went to McDonald's and my food was cold, = McDonald's is rice.
I bought a pair of Levi's but they ripped a week after buying them = Levi = rice?
NSX, overpriced yes, Rice = NO

You have taken a term completely out of context. Obviously you don't understand the origin or what it refers to. "Rice" originated as a term to describe Asian cars, namely Japanese. Simple as that. "Rice" is more often used these days to describe Japanese styling, with their gaudy wings, sideways fart cans, and small buzzy engine. So when someone sticks a fart can or a huge wing on a Neon, you'd say its "riced out". Meaning made to look Japanese. And don't try and kid yourself, the Japanese were the inventors of fart cans, gay wings, stupid looking body kits, and trying to make small shitty engines go fast.
It has absolutely zero to do with fast food or jeans. I don't know where you pulled that nonsense from.
And yes, people that buy NSX's are ricers. Why?? Because nobody else in their right mind would spend $90K for a V6 Honda with a pathetic 290HP/252HP. And thats the ricer mentality. Doesn't matter how slow it is or how shitty it sounds, if its Japanese than it must be awesome. Like Tokyo Drift.

But a few months back you agreed that a Honda Minivan (soccer mom type isn't a ricer)
But they too are from Japan? Confused? Aren't many of Toyota cars built in like GA or something? Are they ricers?
Aren't Mustangs and other fords built in Mexico-- what are they tortilla burners?
Weren't F-bodies built in Canada-- What are they?
I don't care how you twist it-- People who typically use the term Ricers, aren't saying that because the car company is from an Asian country. They are more called that for having aluminum wings, decals, poor fitting/ ugly body kits. etc.
I think a website was/ is out there called laughatrice.com
If you look at those cars. They aren't stock NSXs. Those cars are usually admired as a nice car-- might not be the fastest car in the world, but still a nice car. PS every car isn't marketed to the NHRA crowd-- Not everything needs to do the quarter mile in the low 13s. That doesn't make it a bad car- NSX over priced yes-- Rice- no.
If you type Ricer on Youtube-- You don't see videos of a grandma driving a Toyota Sequoia or Avalon- picking up their grandkids from T-ball practice.
(Under your definition, Grandma Betty is a ricer)
What do you see when you type in Ricer at that site- Usually a civic or even a DODGE neon-- YES Dodge neon. with all the afore mentioned parts (neons, wing, etc).
So to argue your definition is the popular one makes no sense-- Seems how Youtube is one of the most popular websites on the internet, and nobody is putting videos of stock Honda Civics with a struggling college student, gulping down his cup of coffee before finals.
They are overwhelmingly putting videos of the trashy - ugly, cars, that have hideous "upgrades" (if you can even call them "up"grades)
I see more Cavaliers, Cobalts, Neons, Escorts-- "riced" out that any other car (except maybe civic)
What is stopping your definition from broadening? Like anything built in Asia is rice.
Hell, My TV is a HD DLP Samsung? Is my TV rice- it was built in Asia (as far as I know)
My rice-a-roni was tasty the other day-- but I thought it was a "San Fransisco treat"? Wait a minute.... they tricked me I was eating Ricer Rice wasn't I?
I had a Yamaha YZF-R6 (now sold)- I was never called a ricer-- but if I met you, I would have been a ricer- by your ridiculous definition.
I just put together a toy for my 10 month old, A cute little push behind/ ride toy-- too bad it was built in an Asian country-- My kid is now a "ricer". Poor boy, he never had a chance, he was deemed a ricer before he even had a choice.
Damn IT!!! Guess what-- I just noticed.. I'm typing on my Toshiba Satellite computer-- OMG-- I'm a ricer.....
I went to a Chinese buffet the other week-- little did I know-- I ate the rice, I am now a ricer?
I work for the US Government, but I think some of my office supplies are from Commie China-- I guess I am a commie ricer now....
And to top it all off-- My Wife's dad married a nice Chinese lady-- Is she a ricer? for being born in the country of China?
My family car is a 2005 Hyundai XG350L- I'm a ricer now. But wait I drive a 2002 Pontiac Trans Am too? I'm torn-- Ricer/ or not?
My neighbor was mowing his yard the other day- I think he had a Honda push behind lawn mower-- Damn it. My neighbor is a ricer! I wonder if he knows.. I don't think I can break it to him. I don't know how he will take it.
I'm going to record him mowing his lawn and then post it on Youtube and call him a ricer, and make fun of him for it. I mean after all it was BUILT in Asia, and that is the common definition or rice/ricer isn't it.
