I have a 1999 TransAm LS1 Motor Sports Lid W/K&N Air filter,SLP LM1 Catback Exaust and the optional 3.23 Gears on The A4 I have owned my car for over 4 years and am VERY comfortable driving I know my car very well

Most drivers in a NSX run mid 13s to low 14s, i have seen a couple slightly modded running 12s.

make sure you race from a dig though.

All I can tell you is my daughter used to own a NSX and I used to run circles around it in my '96 Corvette that was putting down 400 rwhp and a few suspension mods.

I don't see NSXs around that much-- And when I do, they usually aren't driven by young street racers.
But good luck-- I think our car has the advantage.
But I have always like the looks of the NSX (just too expensive for the performance you get)

I ran one a while back (it had exhaust, not sure of its other mods) when I had my 2000 audi S4 M6 (it only had exhaust, cai, tune, and a 50 shot: which I didn't use). I beat him by a car length from a dig - 100, dead even from a 30-120, and beat him by 3 -4 lengths from 70 - 160. It was real fast from a 70 roll-160, I used to beat my friends modded lt1 z by 7-8 lengths. My best ET's without spray were low 14's though, and I never got to run against an ls1 from a high roll.
Try to get him from a dig... with a good launch you'll murder 'em. From a 60+ roll its a drivers race

I've never seen an NSX driven around here before. There are a couple at a few dealerships, but they just sit. The people that do buy them, usually keep them as a garage queen. But, unless he is modded you should be the victor.

The newer ones I think are around 300bhp and the older ones are around 270 or so. They are more of a circuit car anyway. Unless he's FI you will have no problem. Race him from a dig though. Beat him and ask him if his v-tec is broken, then shake your head at him every time you see him.

You used to beat a lt1 car by 8 lengths and you only ran low 14s, so what it was a 14.6+ lt1 car? I have seen boen stock lt1s hit 13s

they have somewhere around 290hp and only 220 trq, but the kicker is they are only a 3000-3100lbs car. Most people i have seen run low 14s high 13s. I have raced 2, my ex's dad had 2 i raced one of those, the guy can drive he also has a z06. I put about 8 cars on it up to 110 and i ran high 12s in my T/A

Especially if it's an automatic NSX. Those are very very slow.

i love those things and they are fast everywhere. it depends on the year on whether or not an ls1 can beat it. it's a light car with a powerful v6. with just a little work they are really fast. if he has a turbo kit, nitrous, or the supercharger i think they still sell, then you are honestly screwed. I beat a 97 nsx a couple months ago before my valve train. i only put a little over a car on him from a 45 to 100.

Lol, S4s are AWD they would do great from a dig, should be low 5s high 4s 0-60 with those mods. And AWD hurts on roll races because you arent getting as much power to the ground. A lt1 is usally harder in a roll race, Strange thats all.

Strange now.... I was new to the M6 then. I would always pick up a good jump off the line, but would get pulled and passed through second without the juice. I usually had higher traps in the 1/4 though.
From a 60 roll, in 3rd that car was unstoppable it seemed. I rarely loss on the highway.

3rd in most turbo cars pulls hard but not as hard as a v8 with rwd. With the lt1 a4 i have heard people say 3rd is a little weak and i have heard people say 3rd is there favorite gear. And everyone says a tune makes 3rd seem amazing, eitherway there is alot you can do with a S4 other than just speed
