America Wide Cruise in Honor of new Camaro
Over on LS1tech the guy's are planning a nation wide cruise in honor of the new Camaro. I just wanted to see if we could get some support from the crowd hear. You don’t have to go the whole distance and it is a good excuse to go for a ride. Sounds like a good time to me how about you guy’s? Here is the post....
For a few years now, we have seen several examples of the 5th generation Camaro, love it or hate it, it is up to us as the performance automobile demographic to ensure that the car sells (or at least gains iconic fame) so that the v8 performance trend can continue in America. There has been much talk and speculation of high horsepower demise, and with up coming government mandates on fuel economy and current gas prices it should also be our priority to show American auto marker's the kinds of cars we are interested in. F-body success is dependent on our appreciation and support of the hobby. While I'm not trying to advocate the purchase of a new 5th generation Camaro, I am trying to gauge interest in a summer cruise of all F-body owners in America, initially I was hoping this could be a tour of power coast to coast, but now I'd just like any interested parties or sponsors to post in this thread so I can evaluate if this is something f-body Fans would participate in.
I am organizing documents outlining this kind of activity as a final project in gaining my Bachelor's degree in Automotive journalism/ public relations. With this I was granted the unique opportunity to do two things I love, drive my firebird, and write.
We could treat this similarly to the Guiness great american drinkathon, where no one has to travel across country but we as a group designate a time for every (running) F-body to drive around town, preferably in a large parade like group.
Is anyone Interested in this? Please post, help me, and the hobby. Thank you in advance!

If I went, I'd probably roll 100,000 on the trip.
I think the idea of campsites, tents, and campfires would be alot cooler than staying in hotels.

Well http://mifbody.com/vbulletin/showthr...407#post272407
Should be a fun event if everyone puts the time into getting it set up. This kind of event only works if everybody that likes the ideal will tell everybody they know and we get the word out there so if you like the ideal then get a post going in you're local forms and tell friends. Let’s see what word of mouth can accomplish and good luck!!!
