yup i knew that was coming, always have to fall back on a cobra. if you compare the 2 n/a the 4.6 is a joke. just about .3 liters from being a v6. lol

Hey Trick, i'll be coming up to the San Jose area (from Sacramento) to visit Great America soon. I'd love to give you a detailed view of a '93 Z's rear-end lol

The 4v 4.6 NA isnt that bad, not quite on par with the LS1, but not a "joke" either.

    Just one example. http://videos.streetfire.net/video/R...oush_95156.htm
That video is a prime example of two people who are not very wise. Doing that in traffic is the reason why street racing costs you your car.......if your lucky.

    Don't do that in traffic!!!!

    Navy Blue Metallic
    2002 Camaro SS

12.3x @ 109 mph with a dead hook 1.76 60" time. These numbers are absolutely ideal conditions:

    1. No traction issues
    2. A very skilled driver behind the wheel of an automatic
    3. Great DA at E-town (a track known for spitting out times that are typically pretty good)

I'm surprised that even the Ford tuners are struggling to toss out a car that consistently can perform with an '03 or '04 Cobra. They advertised 385 hp at the crank on those cars and I imagine MOST would dyno within 5-10 hp of the 427R (and it's advertised 435 crank hp).

Finding a 427R bone stock on the street shouldn't be much of a concern for a good driver in a bolt on LS1....the race would likely be VERY close. That being said, the 427R should respond relatively well to mods (stall, gear swap, pulley swap, etc.).
2002 Camaro SS M6, 2.5 PRC 5.3L heads, TFS 228/230 cam, FAST 92, bolt ons + a 10 lb bottle in the back.

1989 Corvette L98, A4, Full bolt ons, etc.

you dont spend that kind of money on a car like that to keep up with bolt on fbody's. you spend that kind of money on a car because that kind of money isnt all that much to you.

Totally disagree. You spend that money because you really wan't a Roush 427R. It's upscale, it's rare, and most of all, it's fast. And then you get ran by an automatic LS1 with just a lid and exhaust. Has to hurt a little.

Don't get me wrong, it's a decent performer. But I expected much more from it.

Im pretty sure those cars were made for road racing not blasting down the 1/4 mile.So to be setup for twistys and still make a bottom 12.xx pass is still pretty good imo.

I agree, you get a car that says 427R on the side for specific reasons and one of them doesn't come true against a car you can now buy for 10 grand.

i dont need nitrous to hang with those cars stock and if they barely beat me woop te doo
i dont have a problem with power adders i just think its funny that they had to use one to barely keep up
