MRI results from yesterday...
Did a spine, brain, and lower extremities MRI yesterday.
Her brain is free and clear of tumors.
Her spine tumors are remaining the same size.
Her tumors in her right leg (the fat one) are growing pretty quickly.
She has growth on her left leg now as well.
Something tells me she will have to have an amputaton at some point before she is 5 years old.
Yeah....

Hope all goes well. Would be a shame for her to have to get an amputation. She seems like such a wonderful kid.

Julie is getting in touch with a couple other Colorado families that have younger children with NF.
One of the little ones has one leg and the other has had both removed.
Hopefully they can help us a little....

My sincerest thoughts to your family. I cant even begin to imagine how hard this much be on you guys. I just hope everything works out and its good to see that you trying everything possible. It's very unfortunate that any child have to go through this but it's good to see that even after all this, she still has a big smile on her face on the pics you post. You can tell she's a fighter and won't let anything stand in her way. Best of luck.

Dang dude.. I thought with the title you were going to edge us on for a taste of good news... I keep wanting to scroll down some more and see a "just kidding, she's doing great!" part but it never came. I'm really sorry things aren't going better for her. I don't really know what to say. Sad to see such a sweet little girl going through so much.

My thoughts are with you. This isn't the same thing but my aunt had breast cancer years ago. She had the usual treatment. It came back 8 or so years later and it spread rapidly through her body. She was barely hanging on and they put her on a trial medication. I am sorry I don't know what it was but in just a few months she went from being near death's door to feeling perfect.
The problem was in her brain, the medicine got rid of everything in her body but it couldn't get to her brain because of some defense the brain has or something of that nature.
Eventually her brain tumors got the best of her. But she had a good year or so of feeling great and enjoying life. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, seeing where you mentioned her brain being clear of anything I would vote for the trial medication. Science does amazing things these days.
Whatever you do just know that we are pulling for you all.

luos, I'm so sorry to hear that man.
I remember reading awhile back about her, but she'll pull through.
things could always be worse, and things happen for a reason, maybe through her having the problems she has a cure will be found, or she herself will find a cure.
god makes it up to people who have to suffer when they did nothing to desreve it.
I'll pray for you guys man
