A properly set up SC'ed LS1 will put out amazing power w/ supporting mods done correctly. That is where people are confused when they see a blown LS1 not putting down huge numbers, it's because the owner was a dumbass and didn't set it up correctly or didn't get the supporting mods to go w/ a blower.

    It doesn’t take a genius to know that without forged internals in a block with that much power isn’t a good thing. Doesn’t matter who made the car.

    its common sense. Of course it can make that power. There have been a few turbo cars from MPH making close to 600 hp on SOHC and stock short blocks. I bet they wouldnt last on the road more than one pass at WOT.
