trouble starting

my 1998 v6 camaro is having trouble starting. to get it running i have to give it a little gas when i start it.. Anyone ever have this problem?

Could be many things realy. How does it run when it starts? When was the timing last checked on it? Fuel filter last changed? Is the check engine light on?

it runs fine when its started..sometimes when i accelerate slow it feels a little bumpy like its misfirein but the fuel system was just flushed out and checked about 2 months ago. the check lite isnt on

Going out on a limb. Try cleaning your EGR. And make sure all your plug wires are on tight. Could even be a vacume leak. Hoses get hard and can crack.

i dont know i checked all of the wires and air system and got it checked out by firestone that was 100 down the drain..they said something about cleaning my intake and mass air flow sensor but they said that probley wasnt even the problem and that it might help so i said fuck that i dont want to spend another 200 on it...so i dont even know whats going on with it.

check the ignition coil or module
