    firebird vs CRX

    well, i was commin home today from a friends house and i saw this CRX, ive seen this car before and i know it has Catback/CAI and its had some weight removed, janky primered body kit, with about 40stickers all over teh car and windows, i pull next to him minding my buisness i really didnt wanna race but he revs and i laughed a lil so he new it was on, when the light turned green we both whent and it wasnt even close i gave him the buisness in my stock 3.4l v6 firebird put at least 3 bus lengths. as i cam to the next light i noticed this 70's model firebird/trans am next to me and he gave me the thumbs up so that felt pretty good...plus a win under my belt, not much of a win to the v8s but still felt good.

    hey thats what he gets! everybody where I'm from claims that a 200HP crx hatch > a bolt on ls1 because the weight difference is "SOOOOO" great.

    that reminds me of when my buddy used to have an 95 supra twin turbo, and a fucking mazda rx8 told us he's win because he had a better power/weight ratio

    the movie was entertaining, but all those stupid kids that saw the hondas there probably thought to themselves that maybe their parents can do the same, and everyone in my shool started talking crap, + when i noticed they had no clue what they were talking about was when a chinito named andy was faming his Accord that he was doing 16's i just laughed, then he said with "NOZ" he can dod 14's, the moment he said NOZ i just sprung up with laughter and i was sent to the principals office for dissrupting the class. however; i didnt get in trouble because the principal drove a chevelle and i told him what i heard and he laughed as well.

    exactly! The argument was ridiculous.. but I had 5-6 people telling me I was an idiot because I don't know anything about "power to weight ratio" and that a CRX would out launch, and beat any "weak bolt on ls1".

    What half of them don't realize, for one - they say they have a 220hp engine, that's not at the front wheels, and that means their TQ is probably under 200.

    and two - if you put a ls1 on slicks and good suspension, it will outlaunch the front wheel drive hatch.

    But I'm the idiot because our cars are SOOO HEAVY AND WEAK lol...

    the only way the crx would beat an LS1 Bird or maro, is if it has at least 300-350 Horses, but 220 is nothing because they have low torque and most of their power comes from VTEC which is usually achieved at over 5k who while hes reving to get his 5k we are already over 4 in second gear, and leave their asses behind.
