so a couple of my friends were going to run on the highway tonite and I was following. they were in a heavily modded tiburon and a celica with a 80 shot of nitrous. now i watched them go from a dead stop and they were going pretty good. i was way behind them, and then the 2 guys in my car were like I bet you can't get to where we can see better and I was like yeah right and i floored it and within a couple seconds i was coming up on the 2 guys who were racing very fast. they told me later they hit 120 and i was like well i didn't go until yall had gone for a while and i caught up to you very quick. I hit 140 behind them. lol. the guy in the celica had been saying that his celica would be able to beat me if he raised it to a 100 shot and after that i would not believe it for one second.

I doubt that Celica is going to last very long on NOS.

And a 'highly modified' Tiburon? That's embarrassing all on its own. Why don't these guys trade up and get themselves a nice used F-body?

because their brains are turned into mush by that fast and furious crap. if you've never been in a fast car you have nothing to gage your car by so that why they think 15 second quarter mile times are normal

the dude with the tiburon got it for just a fun car to drive and just does a little bit at a time to it. he has a fully restored 67 hemi charger that he has for shows and muscle. on his tiburon though he has full bolt ons and head work. it's pretty quick for what it is. i will give him that.

They were all over the earlier need for speed underground games and if you were into fast and the furious then you just had to pick up those games.

My brother has a Tiburon and he thought that thing was fast well at least until he lined up against me in the Trans Am. I let him get about a car ahead of me then i floored it and went flying by him and the look on his face was just priceless.

heck i torture them all the time. they are good people and that's why I still hang with them. I used to hang with them when i had an import. I still hang out with them though because we still have fun and sometimes it's funny to run a race against one.

Well I'll admit it. I coaxed a Tiburon from a 40mph roll with a few revs from my new Borla catback.

He bit, I put a few bus-lengths on him, and afterwards I felt bad. Like I had just kicked a puppy or something.

I guess... I should fess up too... I onced raced one at the same time as a new Civic Si... with a buddy of mine in the car... recording on the phone... as I left them both from a 40mph roll... it was interesting... found out that Civics are tons faster then Tiburón's... LOL

yeah you need someone there to tell you how fast the others are going... its kind of hard to gage them when your miles in front.

Ricer city around here.. one of my best friends has a celica... i stomped him in my 88 blazer(full size k5)4 wheel drive high...
it took him getting around 70 to pull past me..
That reminds me I gotta another friend with an eclipse... when I got out of my ricer stage I told him to get some real ram air.. and he argues with me that his short "ram air" cold intake tube is more effective because of lower air temperatures from the ground...

my city is a ricer city too. im about to take 20 bux from a dude that says that nitrous'd celica is faster than my car. he is bumping it up to a 150 shot with 2 bottles and a fuel cell but still. i think i can still take him on the 1/8 where we are racing. I mean come on. the thing has 200000miles on it and he just rebuilt the motor to make it even run. he changed the rods( because me messed up the last set with nitrous) and now he thinks he can push all he wants out of it. that is so stupid to me. I can't wait to tear him apart. oh im going to pull out my back seat to even the playing field slightly ( not like i need to I just don't want to make him feel too bad. he stripped down his whole car to make it lighter)
