Nothing wrong with either.
Some guys are just jack asses that think they know it all which in reality they just make a fool of their selves.
Alot of cars are nice and not all cars are made to race! Some are for comfort and some are sporty. Just to most guys on here everything has to be a track car.
If you want a dragster buy one!

Some people have very strong opinions, and in turn are pretty darn biased. You know, kind of like how most of us are about our favorite sports team. Everybody is entitled to be that way if they choose. I come across plenty import guys that can't stand our domestics. Tuff luck. Not to mention you have "Rice Killa" under your avator. So what is your version of riced out???

To me riced out can be any car. I seen riced out of all kinds of cars.
To me ricer is having body kits, and ridiculous rims, gay paint jobs, huge systems, neons, ect. ect. pretty much any car wanting to be fast and furious.
This is a nice import nothing rice about that

This is a ricer import but I can see domestics made as rice too...

No offense, but I don't believe that is your definition of 'rice'. Both you and I know what rice really refers to.

So now rice/ ricer isn't an insult?
It simply means you own a reliable, good on gas, excellent resale value, car?
I like the other more common unwritten but widely accepted definition....
Rice - Altezza tail lights, and huge tripple decker metal wings, with cheezy graphics, NOS stickers, fart can, body kits that are either not painted, or hanging off. Often found on Foreign 4 clyinders, some 6 cylinders, and a recent rash of american 4 and 6 cylinders have adopted this style. It is rarely found on V8 American pony cars- but they are not 100% exempt.
Ricer - One who drives rice.

I suppose some might not consider it an insult then. If someone said "that car looks riced out" though, I'd say thats an insult. It merely refers to that vehicle looking Japanese, since they like to put on huge, ugly wings, ridiculous body kits, and fart cans from the factory. Example, a Mitsubishi Evo or Subaru STI.

Wesman, that might be your definition of 'rice,' but not everyones.
You're like... "Something wrong with DEeeetroit, son? Why you drivin' that Japoneeese piece o' shit?"

I see
So let me get this straight... Rice (to you) was any asian built car-- Now it is only asian cars that run 13.xx quarter mile times.
I always thought of rice being tacky all show and no go type cars.

Not to be argumentative--
But when you say "can" be considered--
Can you clarify?
So to you (your opinion) which is that-- ALL asian cars are rice yes or no? (Regardless of looks, performance)
Just trying to get a better understanding- because if I remember correctly, you have accused me of being a ricer- but I drive the same car as you. Which wasn't built in Asia.
Not to mention - under your theory a soccor mom in a honda Odessy mini-van is a ricer.. That is strange to me.
Because the hatred that poors from people's mouth and the poking fun of the "ricer" seems to lose its meaning, if we are now picking on 30 year old soccer moms that are stock down to the paper air filter.
I guess I am a ricer-- My family car is a 2005 Hyundai XG350L (Korean built/ Asian)- as stock as can be. About as far from rice as you can get. But under this new and uncommon definition that you have given the term, I am in fact a "ricer". LOL
My wife is a "ricer" --- LMAO---seems how she drives it mostly.

dude i know a guy the same thing happened to him with his. he has a 300zx tt and he let a girl he was dating drive it home and she ran off the road because she though it didn't have as much power as her honda. i guess she found out the hard way that a tt 300 has alot more than any honda

Not to take sides or anything, but I think you are taking the point waaay out of context. I don't think it should take a genius to know what us domestic guys refer to as "rice". It started out as us domestic guys referring to Asian import racers as "Rice Rockets", not women who drive mini-vans.
Those 300ZX's were often underestimated, and still are. They were actually a tad quicker on average than the LT1 cars, running high 13's in the 101-102 range - though they were also rated @ 300hp, versus 275-285 for the LT1 cars.
