Diablo Sport or Hypertech. I'm an HPTuner or EFILive fan myself.

Your better off having it professionally tuned. More criteria to work with.

hypertech or superchip or professional tune... the diablo has many things you can tinker with and you said you didnt know much about a fuel injection so stick with the hypertech or superchip

Handheld programmers in my mind are pieces of complete shit. I would never run one in ANY of my vehicles. Spend the money and have it tuned. Only thing decent about the programmers is your able to change between fuel economy and performance/towing settings as well as recalibrate your speedometer if you have larger tires.

I've had the Hypertech in my '02 for about 40k and it works well with the mods I have, CAI and cat back. The Diablo is adjustable so if you know someone with the abillty it would be better for more mods.
Alot of people down handhelds. The fact is with a dyno tune, once it's done and you do more mods you have to have it redone=$$$. With the handhelds you can readjust for them=0$.
Sure a dyno tune will net a few more hp but if you keep moding is it really worth it? Also handheld let you check DTC's, change speedo cal for different tire sizes, etc. And you can find them cheap.

Hand helds have a place, they are simple and effective,Diablosport or hypertech, seem to be the best.If your gonna go with all kinds of engine upgrades like, heads, cam, intake, you might wait and have it tuned with EFILIVE,or LS1 edit. Those are full out programs that you download on to your laptop, that is for experianced people to do.
