    went up against a terminator

Heres the story, up until this guy I had raced 2 or 3 cobras and lost to them all. I met up with a guy around town that has a red 03 cobra mustang. He had a pulley, exhaust, and I think if I remember correctly ported throttle body and maybe one other thing. Hes putting down 452hp & 471trq. As for me, I've got a moser 9" 3.89's, 32 stall, full exhaust, tune, subframe connectors, shocks, and a 150 shot N20. I ran this dude a couple weeks back with an empty bottle. He had a good 3 to 4 cars on me right after we took off. I came back out tonight with a full bottle to run him again on the highway. We ended up going from a 40 roll, as soon as we both hit it he started to spin and I jumped on him about 3/4 of a car length. Then he slowly starting easing on me and gaining up till about 140/145mph which was when we shout down. We were dead even. I could tell though if we had kept going he would of had a car on me by around 175/180 or so by the way he was moving. I won't know what I dyno at untill next weekend. And so far my best 1/4 time is 11.58 at 118. Thought you guys might be interested.

cool good times and be careful on that top speed, i have seen too many people killed by speeding..............if you can race him from a dig at a 1/4 mile track and post the results and vid. that would be cool.

cool... just so ya know i just blew the doors off my buddies 01 cobra after he called my car the slomaro..... we'll see who is slo when i run a 12.1 and be barely pulls a 13.8, maybe he should race my gf's bone stock 99 z28 which has been 13.5....its all for fun though... i hope to be in the 11.99 range with my stock internals next spring... i changed my 2-3 shift piont from 6500 to a 6100 witch keeps it in the power band and am planning on bmr k-member and fiberglass hood, and a ebay aluminum driveshaft, i'm sure that will get me to the 12.0 at least, and with the moon and stars lining up right will pull a 11.99...not bad for a N/A interally stock ls1 auto

That sounds like a sweet race. How fast can your maro go with the 3.90 rear and an auto? Top speed I mean. I had my 03 Cobra at 155ish a couple times and I dont think it could have done much more than that.
I know I also had my m6 99 TA at 155 a time or 2, honestly the TA felt more stable at those speeds.

The TA has better aerodynamics so it should feel a little bit more stable...

I think my top spreed with those gears and everything is between 145 and 150. Ive never gone over 140 untill i raced the cobra. then I hit 142 or 143. And it actually is pretty stable.

A little of the original topic, but I read somewhere that the 93-97 TAs are more aerodynamic than the 98-02 ones, they can acheive a higher top speed. Not sure if its true.

Whcih one looks more badass is the question, i dont know what they are talking about the 93-97 can reach a higher speed. Are you talking with the same hp, cause 285 compared to 350hp is a big difference. I had my 96 formula with 2.73s to 145 and it wasnt topped out and i had my 2000 to 155mph not topped out. i can tell you the T/A got there alot faster and that it felt better at high speeds but it also is lowered so that may have something to do with it. Anyway the 98-02 look alot better to me.
