I want to install a tranny cooler on my 95 LT1, how big of a cooler can I go with and still make an easy fit on the radiator? The cooler I'm looking at right now is 11 inches tall, 11 3/4 long, and has a 9 1/4 core. I like the cooler I just think it is to big. Any thoughts?
Thanks |

I have that exact dimnension cooler ( B&M) on my 04 GTO along with an oil cooler.....and it is tighter than 3rd grade...ugh....erg....well you know.....I also have a Perma Cool oil cooler....the oil cooler is is in the lower grill and the trannie cooler is up in the radiator.......just "figure" (as us Texans say)...and manipulate till you get a optimum air flow in a secure place.....you may have to fab some brackets.....

Re: Biggest tranny cooler possible?
The B&M 24K cooler will more than handle the job, you can buy it at Summit or Jeg's for $49.

Another vote for the B&M 24K - comes with everything you need for the install, will do the job nicely, and can even be bought locally.
