Tips to help with your vehicle sales

These questions come up often, so here are some suggestions to potentially help members in the sale of their vehicles:

1. Always include pictures of the vehicle being sold. People generally won't be interested in something they can't see and will always ask for pictures if you don't provide them.
2. Its a good idea to provide the VIN so people can run a carfax and check out the vehicles history.
3. Make your asking price highly visible. Having to search for the price gets frustrating. Also, if you are not willing to negotiate on the price much, list your price as "firm". If there is room to negotiate the price, list it as "OBO".
4. List the mileage along with any modifications done to the vehicle.
5. If you don't have much of a history as a member on the site, be prepared to provide some references, maybe someone that has been a member of the site for a while and can vouch for your credibility.
6. If you have an email address or phone # that might help in the lines of communication and credibility.
7. Disclose any problems or issues the vehicle is having or needs addressed.
8. What type of transmission is the vehicle.
9. Title status, clear, rebuilt, salvaged
10. If the vehicle has sold, please make a post indicating it has SOLD.

Putting the location of your vehicle (i.e. Virginia, NOVA, VA, etc.) in the thread title would help make your listing stand out to a potential buyer. Yes...putting your location in the body of the thread is just super, but it's a waste of time to look through a thread (or dozens of them in my case) to find that the vehicle is 500+ miles away.
