no its not sea foam it looks like they hook up an iv stand to your car and run this chemical through your injectors but it works
ill probably have my car done just for good measure, and after watching it done i think it would be a benefit to do it every couple of years at least

there are a lot of good ideas to check here and just incase nobody mentioned it check all your intake hoses
i had a car that wouldnt idle at all and it was just holes in my intake hose, wrapped it in tape until the new one came and the car idled and ran just fine
my goofy ass spent about a month trying to figure it out and replacing stuff
one day decided to pull the accordian style hose off and stretched it to find all the holes, problem solved

O my car is fixed now -this is a old thread. But yeah I replaced several things trying to figure out the problem. My problem turned out to be the "F body speacialist" shop I took my car to. These dumb mf didnt gap the plugs and 3 were way too large a gap. Well apparently after running the car a few months with such a large gap it pretty much burnt up the end of the plug-and thats when the car started running like shit. Naturally, I assumed it wasnt the plugs or wires cause they were brand new. I got fucked by the local GM dealer when I took the car to them as well. Instead of putting my car on a diagnostic computer the did a injector flush and told me to come get the car " its running perfect now". I paid them $400.00(I knew I was getting fucked) and drove off. The car ran no better then when I dropped it off. I told them to put the car on the computer again and thats when they found the misfire in 3 cylinders. They kindly told me they would change my plugs and wires for $700.00 more Nice of them huh? All this happened because I had surgery and couldnt do my own work on the car. I finally found a honest mechanic and he put new plugs/wires on for $75.00.

What fact are you stating? That its best to take a set of aftermarket plugs straight out of the pack and install them without checking the gap? Thats what you stated. I know that GM decided their plug gap of .060 to .040. My car is presently gapped to .035 and runs great. I also understand that certain plugs supposedly come Pre-gapped-but I would damn sure check each one myself before installing them.
