Off Road Y Pipe Question
I have a 2000 Camaro SS and have JBA headers with stock cats. I don't want to get rid of my headers, but need to do away with my cats. I have a cam install coming up and need to free the exhaust up alittle more. What off road y pipe that will attach directly to my headers is best?? As you all know JBA headers have the same size flanges as the stock manifolds and should be a direct bolt on. I searched around and colud not find one under $300.00. I would rather blow my money on long tubes for that much. Anyone know where I can find these off road y pipes for less??? Any help will be much appreciated. Again, I really don't want to remove the JBA's, so please don't tell me to go to long tubes. Just need help finding this y pipe!

I just sold one. I found it originally on Ebay. It was made by Bassani but they no longer make it.

Honboy1,you are in Lake co.Do you know for a fact wheather or not they look under the car with a mirror for the cats at emissions testing. My son thinks they still do but he hasen't been there in a year.Since you are doing away with them I figured you know.

Ok,thanks.I know some of the guys said they got through with lumpy cams and stuff and that all I need to do is get codes deleted but I'd hate to go through the time and trouble of LT's and ory to find they do a visual.I have to go in June.Maybe I'll just wait on engine mods.

What I meant is that you can take the test up to a year in advance of the renewal time. Then once you get your tags you dont have to re-test for 2. Although I keep hearing that in Ohio the emissions test (eCheck) system is going away all together.

A year, wow, thats some advanced time.We get a notice in the mail with our renewl papers. But I do know you can drive ANY car through to see if it passes(such as a used car) but it doesent count for anything!
