    Am I the only one???

Am I the only person that has negive feeling about SFC's. I had no sqeeks before I had them put on. (SLP bolt on) After I have sqeeks everywhere and did not notice any difference at all in the feel of the car.

Bolt in SFCs just don't have the stiffening properties that weld ins do because the bolts themselves will twist and flex with the body, thus the squeaks that you are hearing are probably from the fact that they are bolt in or maybe have some bolts that just aren't fully torqued.

I may just have them welded in. I know it's not the SFC that are sqeeking, its windows and the dash. They never did the shit before.

    SFC's

I am pretty sure it is not the Sub Frame Connectors themselves making the noises but it really could be the way there bolted on. My SS did get a bite less sqeeky when I had my installed(welded on). I also felt a big difference in traction all around, off the line and cornering.

    I was pleased with mine!

I have SLP Bolt-ons now and I love them so far. Granted, I only put about 3k miles on them so far but they seem fine to me. I also had BMR weld-ins on my 98Z28 and they were also great. They make the shocks do their job. If anything, I would say it makes your shocks wear out faster since they're now absorbing the shock instead of your chassis flex!

Thanks everyone for answering, I appreciate it. My shocks do need to be replaced, they are toast; but the sqeeking started before they were wore out.

Well if Santa's taking order, I'll take a 12 bolt or spec 3 clutch first. Fords, Dodges, anything not GM

I noticed a night and day difference after my weld ins were installed. Maybe some people with bolt ins will post up and help you out. I would think weld in or bolt in you should notice quite a bit of difference with either.

I have heard that before, with the lift deal if your car is twisted at all when installed it stays like that... right?

Yet mine were done on a lift, so did help at all... I bet not. But I have heard that before, and the shop used a lift for mine if it at all matters.

It was a huge difference, but I did lower control arm replacement when I had the SFC's so maybe that was some of it to.
