Slow passenger window? Check this out.

    Hello Everyone,

I just started advertising here on ls1.com and wanted to get out here and let everyone see our product.

    http://www.autotrix.net

We are a new company trying to bring new technology to older cars. GM fixed the problem with underpowered windows in there big SUV's but they didn't care much about our f-body's.

We created a cheap kit with VERY detailed instructions that will allow ANYONE with a toolbox to install this kit and improve window motor life and function.

On our site you will see before and after videos. These videos are shot with the cars off and we did not grease or clean the tracks, so greasing the tracks will only improve the benefit of the kit.

    The kit is $29.99

That is a much need product.

I like the quick connectors but you still do have to splice wires by the looks of it.

If we get 10+ more orders will we get free shipping or a discounted price?

This might help answer a few question's.
By default power comes from your battery, thru your Body control Module on the passenger side then over to the driver side switch. Then back to the passenger window to operate it. This long path of power reduces the amperage and voltage the motor gets by quite a bit.

So your motor is underpowered which

    1. reduces motor life
    2. reduces motor strength
    3. makes the breaker blow and the window stop.

This kit will get power to the window directly from the battery. It will improve power to the driver side when both windows are being rolled up and down at the same time due to the switch on the driver side no longer needing to power the passenger side.

From the factory The driver side is powered fine when it is the only one operating but everytime you roll them up or down together they are both getting hit with low voltage. The kit will wake up your passenger motor, but you driver side may be going out if it is acting like the passenger window.

All the cars in the videos on the site have no driver side issues. Getting this kit before you have problems will only help make sure you don't have these issues early.

Window motors WILL fail like any electric motor, but they should not fail so soon. Our window motors should be able to last over 10 years during normal use when they are properly powered.

    The install requires:
    1 Passenger door panel removal
2 Un-bolting PCM bracket and pulling PCM out and to the side
3 Removing passenger lower dash cover and kick panel
4 Routing two wires from the engine bay power/ ground points, to the door
    5 Splicing in two relay's

The install is fairly easy, and generally takes 1 hour. I spent longer hiding wires in engine bay because that sort of thing bothers me

Our instructions are very detailed and have pictures that show the whole process.

Do your instructions show how to hide the wires in the engine bay?

The wires can be easily hidden inside the existing black wire looms in the engine bay. Untape the loom, shove them in and re tape. Just take extra time while routing the two wires in the engine bay. Our install instructions only show the install process. The hiding part is relatively easy.

The kit is only for the passenger side. The reason is basically both window motors share the same wire for power, when you install our kit the passenger motor gets its own power source and allows the driver to have its own, so it technically fixes both windows.

If you driver side is already slow there are a couple of reasons this could be.

    1. The motor is just worn out and you may have to replace it. If you roll both your windows up and down at the same time alot, this is more likely.

    2. The switch or express down module is faulty.

You could try taking the door panel off and greasing the tracks real well with some lithium grease.

I see. I'll prally end up hiding all the wires through the wheel well this winter anyways. You might be seeing an order coming from me soon, I'm not gonna worry about the car until exams are over and i'm back home

Wait wait, I know the power to the passenger side is slower than the driver if I do both of them at the same time....but why not just do one side at a time?

The passenger window motor power supply is wired through the drivers side window switch. In other words, the "push" or voltage has to travel through very small gauge, long wires from the drivers side switch in order to operate. So even when you are operating them individually the passenger side is still using the original wiring design.
