ram daytona vs. LS1

hey, i dont have an LS1 yet...im in the process of gettin one. but my bro has a 2000 Ws6 that is just awsome.http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2324187. i love the power they have stock. but neway my g/f 's dad has an 05 ram daytona. and hes always arguin with me all the time that he could take an ls1. now i dont agree so we will see once iget my car, but i was wondering what u guys think. hes got an air charger on the daytona...says hes puttin out 500+hp and claims 0-60 in 5 flat...so what chance would a stock LS1 have??

The Ram Daytona's are just the standard HEMI trucks with a nice paint job. They are 340hp. They are not fast. They are not 500hp. The only 500hp Dodge truck is the SRT-10. He is on crack.

as far as i kno his "air charger" is just a cold air intake...and what do u mean slow...they are suposed to b the fastest 4wd truck made...i gotta argee tho..they arent what they are cracked up to b. and i kno hes talkin shit cuz stock hes only suposed to have 345hp..so 500+ out of a cold air intake just doesnt sound right to me...if nebody has specs one the daytona please post.

The top dog 500hp "SRT10's" do 13.2secs because they weigh so damn much. A stock LS1 runs somewhere around 13.5secs... So I don't think a truck w/ half that HP should even try to talk smack to you.

I think he is talking about a K&N Air Charger, It's a tuneless CAI. Don't expect mor ethan like 10 HP gain from it.
