I don't know about calling a mustang dyno "more accurate." the only difference is that mustang dyno's apply resistance at the rollers and dynojets spin freely. I would use "more accurate" a little less loosly, most people use dynojets and so most numbers you hear are dynojet numbers, mustang dyno numbers are the oddball numbers that you don't hear near as often. It's WAY too easy to mess up a dyno run on a mustang dyno, applying too much or too little resistance etc. . .a dynojet is much more consistent with it's numbers.

to say a mustang dyno is more accurate, would be inaccurate. mustang dynos aren't any more accurate than a dynojet. i did a test on a mustang dyno. changed the vehicle weight and gained 5 rwhp with no changes to the car.
mustang dynos use an eddy brake to simulate rolling resistance. dynojets usually dont have one. you can buy an eddy brake unit for the dynojet. so, if i go and dyno on a dynojet with an eddy brake, which one is 'more' accurate now?
BTW, NASCAR uses dynojet to compare team cars to qualify for racing. not mustang dyno.Cold Air Intake, Muffler Delete, Vinci High Performance Dual Valve Springs, Hardened Pushrods, Yella Terra 1.85 Rockers, Some Hydropdipped Stuff, Strut Tower Brace, Some SS Badges, boost/vacuum gauge, fuel pressure gauge, some checkered stripes, drilled/slotted rotors, ZL1addons Stealth wickerbill, Ruxifey LED side markers

I feel that mustang dynos are more accurate to real world application.
The PAU was set in the high 500s and the wieght was set to the stock weight of 37xx
nonetheless on the dynojet I dynoed just under 380rwhp.
three pulls on the mustang dyno was consistantly around 357
three pulls on the dynojet dyno was consistantly around 376
and my car trapped 116 at the track
so yeah I would chalk up this ls1 as a very healthy bolt on runner!

What was the ET?
The only problem I have with your statement is that I know a few people who are making just like you said, about 20hp less than you. But they are doing it with 12bolt and 9" rears which cost you, get this, about 20hp. So I am also going with the thought that you are making average horsepower for an 01/02 f-body.

Did you actually dyno 376whp on a Dynojet or are you estimating? If you are, is 116mph indicative of 370-380whp?

not bashing, but...116 mph IS 375 rwhp , which would give a factory rating of 425 hp or so............so how does intake and exaust EVER add 75 hp ?????
unless he bought the car new, ...sounds like a mild cam or heads or ????
again all stock ls1s trap 105 to 110 at the freakish most,.....bolt on car running 116 ? am I missing anything ? most heads & cam cars WITH bolt ons run 115 to 120 right?? not bashing , just curious.02 z28 auto...13.1s@109mph on stock tires with 80+ temp....lid,filter,corsa cat back,hpp3.

How is it a "Factory Freak" when it is HEAVILY modded?? A Factory freak is when the car puts down above average #'s while STOCK, not modded like yours is. Nice numbers though.

ibanez7, you are not alone. I tuned this car with similar mods as your's, although with cats and on a DynaPack Dyno. If tuned right, some late production F-Bodies are putting down great numbers.
Just got my car tuned...

I know you're talking about an M6, but 116 mph. i have an A4 with a factory converter/125 hp of nitrous/4.11 gears, 1.7x 60' with and 11.7x 1/4 mile trapping @ 117 mph spraying out of the hole. I haven't ever had it on a dyno, but would guess I am around 430-440 rwhp on the jug.

Your #s look about right to me. Full bolt on usually nets between 350-375 on a dynojet, so that gives you approximately 330-365 on a load bearing "mustang" dyno.
Oh, and btw, a bolt on LS1 ain't keeping up with a Cobra putting down 440 on a dynojet. If so, something was going real wrong with the pony. She's baaaaaccccck...
