Liar in a Civic Kill
Saturday night I went to one of the typical spots to watch some street action. There wasn't much for American Muscle out there, mostly rice. I'd had about enough watching retards in FWD cars holding the throttle to the limiter and dumping the clutch for launches so I decided to leave.
As I was pulling out some kid asked me if I wanted to run. I said sure and then asked what he was driving just so I'd know who I was lining up with. He told me that he had a Civic that was pretty much stock. He must've mistaken my car for a V6 since I took the badges off. Anyway, I realized he was a lying prick when I saw his front mount as he pulled in behind me. When we got next to each other I asked him how much boost he was running and he smiled and said, "only 5 pounds."
I figured it was another lie so I heated up the tires and got ready. After some kid started us I realized he may not have been lying afterall. I smoked the crap out of that thing. He had to have been a minimum of 10 cars back when I let off (which was about 400 feet short of the quarter mile mark.) It was truly pathetic. I felt bad for wasting the gas.

nice kill! I bet he thought he was gunna kill you. Atleast now he is informed that you need a lot more than 5#s boost on a civic to beat an LS1

That episode was lame, actually that whole show is pretty lame for the most part. Love how the host was advocating how it was going to settle the age-old import vs domestic dispute, and the civic guy is asking for ridiculous car lengths the whole time.
Seriously though, who in their right mind would risk their f-body to win a Civic? I would have laughed even harder if that guy lost his TA, its like going to the casino and betting $100 hands to get only $50 payouts.

very true, maybe he figured it would be an easy win, but when you start to compensate, the power is less of a factor of who wins

Pewter- '99 Z28 M6
I heard it from Jeff Creech himself that the Civic he was racing on Pinks was a beast.
He said they were lucky it wasn't running right, and it put like 600 HP to the ground with a little work and tuning.
He sold it back to the guy for like 4K or sumthin.Heads 'n Cammed, Moser 12, 3.73's, Weight Reduction, 13" Brembo Kit
BMR track suspension, full exhaust, the works...
412whp/394wtq 1/4 mile slip coming soon!

I love at the end of that episode of pinks after the dude wins that civic he says "does that thing get good gas mileage?"
Anyways, nice kill! Hearing of dumbasses like that getting beat NEVER gets old.
