F-Bodies aren't the only cars that benefit from weight reduction.

Angus66: Between here and PA, damn that is a long way dude, honestly. I don't want to race a modified Mach1 bad enough to drive 5+ hours. If you were in NC, VA, or SC then I would definitely meet you somewhere.

That is a good time. Back when I had stock weight, cam & bolt-ons, we would have been neck and neck. I think I went 8.36@89 MPH with a 2.15 60 ft.

That Mach can certainly move. With the nitrous she is gonna be wicked for sure!

He isn't stock. Check his profile. I think he has exhaust, 4.10's, and quite a few bolt-ons. With BFG drag radials, a good 60ft., he should be in the 8 second range.

But don't take my word for it, I am not a Mach expert by any means.

What do you have done to your car?

i dont have a t/a any more. Insurance was a bitch and my mom made me get a 2001 grand am. but i'm shopping for a 98 t/a or camaro after 1 1/2 years of bitching she finally agreed. 99 black t/a pretty much stock. slp lid was all. but yea i can't leave this comunity alone. around this area everyone calls me the f-body king i've had 12 owner ask me for modding advice and questions and 1 c5 owner. plus my friend's dad trusted me enough to go into town to the movies with his c6, since he knows i'm responsible, unlike his son (whole other story) but yea i didn't open up the c6..was to chicken but yea i have a history with f-bodies.

By the way the c6s didnt impress me last time i was at the track. I also ran into an auto c6 on the street and beat him from a roll.
Also just saw a 06zo6 dyno tonight with exaust only plus a tune it made 472 rwhp! A ford gt with full ex. 16.5 lbs of boost and a few other things made right at 700!

Based on numerous dynos of stock Mach 1's, it seems that Ford under rated
both the '03 & '04 Mach 1's by just a bit:



Based on 15% driveline loss, the above Mach 1 produced ~ 331 horsepower & 360 ft lbs of torque at the flywheel.

'96 - '98 Cobras - rated at the same 305 hp by Ford - typically dyno @ 250 - 260 rwhp, which is roughly 305 crank hp.

So you run 12.9s and you beat a c6 . I hope you know that guy just cant dirve right ?? Any decent driver would have killed you in a stock c6 . I have seen a couple of vids where a new c6 zo6 and new gt run and the gt gets beat by 1 and a half at top both were stock!

Actually my best run is a 12.8 @108 in 89 degree weather. Yes i beat a c6 on the street from a roll. It was an auto. Why is that so hard to believe? It was about a 40 mph roll.
