I really don't think your going to hurt the engine by redlining it, these engines are built for that, I usually shift around 6000 and get it in the next gear by 6200, the trick is with the launch as I said before, just soft pedal out of the hole. If you want to do burn-outs get the car in some water, it's alot easier on
EVERYTHING including your tiresjust be careful, because it'll get away from you if you're not paying attention

well, As I stated be careful, and 3rd gear? no wonder, if doing a burn-out especially in an auto, first fear is sufficient for making the tires smoke. but whatever it's all a preference game, and do what you like

Just shift when you hit the rev limiter and don't let the go pedal off the floor when shift. Make sure you don't do it with the stock shiter I mean shifter. You want to go over where you make your peak power for your into more power when you shift. You'll be able to tell when you leave really nice rubber into 2nd and 3rd.

I guess here in chattanooga, the only good straight happens to be right in front of the 911 station hahaha, I don't have much room around here for my car. and I know I definitely need space! Every time I play with it I run out of room. I mean think about it, we have an express way, and the spd lmt is 55, so before I'm out of 2nd, I'm already speeding pretty good. I have to be careful too, been getting too many tickets lately

I believe you. I also think I may be scared to chirp 3rd going that fast hahaha...I hate to say it. one of these days I'll get out on the eway and pull over then take off from a dead stop and go all out and see how it is.

I appreciate my fear in cars because I think that keeps my foot in check until I gradually get into doing it just right.

well at higher elevation I doubt it will chirp third, mine won't stock, but mine also has torque management, which might be the difference, also I'm sure tires and wheels size/width will make a difference whether it will or not. Basically I'm saying if you try and you can't, it's not neccesarily your fault.
