2 kills tonight!!
So i came home from college today for the weekend, so tonight i headed out to the local cruise strip in my ss. I hadnt been there in 6 months or so, and i expected alot of rice, to my surprise it was all muscle for the most part (90%).
The first race was against a early 70's model nova i believe, very clean and had a sick idle, i didnt think i'd win, we were screwing around for a bit in traffic then we got ahead of the traffic and went at it first pull i was in 3rd at 2k and he went and pulled a half car on me due to my low rpm's then i started pulling back and ended up dead even once we let off. Second run i was in seond at 2.5k and we went and i pulled a car or so on him. Third time i was in second at 3k and pulled two cars on him. I'd consider it a even race because his rpm's were high each race, he looked surprised that i beat him.
Second race was against a 68/69 firebird that was also very clean and nasty sounding, we only went once which was up a hill i was in second at like 2.5k and he gunned it then i did and pulled a car or so on him.
I then pulled into a local gas station where there were about 5 f bods, and i ended talking to these russian dudes who had a 03 Z06 full bolt ons, and this other one who had a 93 Z28 with a STS turbo kit but with a G-45 turbo =(T-88) is what he said, runnin 4 psi with stock engine and headers 450RWHP
all in all it was a good night

Good kills. Sounds like a good time. Wish I could have been there. Those older model cars like that need a LOT of HP if they are still at their stock weight.
Mine has been down, I put heads (among other things) on it and took 2 or 300 lbs out of her, damn near took me a month working on it every Saturday. I got to take her out Saturday afternoon and got pulled over on her maiden voyage. Turns out the cop likes HP, so me and him get to talking about motors and stuff, and he let me off with a vocal warning. Gotdam that thing is wicked fast now, but the slave cylinder is still leaking like a sieve, and I couldn't go far without the clutch laying ON the FLOOR.
I can't wait to start racing again!

last night i estimate my car was weighing in around 3750 lbs,
i had it weighed its 3800 with me in it and full tank, so i was at 3/4 tank last night, so i bet the weights of the cars i raced was pretty close to the same

there's a good place to look, some times when you have a truck full of shit they weigh you in and then again when you leave and charge you by pound

Not to shabby at all man! There's been a weekly carshow by my place going on, so I wait to see em either on their way to it or hitting the streets afterwards. I posted one story already about killing a 383 RoadRunner. Add a '70 440 Charger R/T to that to. Guy driving the RoadRunner was cool as anything but the guy in the Charger was hotheaded and wouldn't even acknowledge me. I hate that.

Got finished with the slave, new master (with drill mod) install, laid into in mid-second gear and it annihilated the tires!! I feel a little slippage in fourth gear though, dammit. RAM clutch has finally had it after 20K+ abuse.
