lined up next to a 05-06 GP GXP
the other day while I was running down to sears to exchange an extension that i'd broke while working on my dodge, I pulled up next to a GP GXP, he had the 5.3 and atleast an exhaust(damn thing sounded good) he revved at me, this guy was probably in his mid-forties too,so I revved back with my stock exhaust and we went on green, I spun hard off the line(damn bridgestones) he actually pulled on me until I hit second where I started to pull him, in the end I had maybe 3-3.5 cars on him in third where we shut em down about 85ish, he waved, I waved good fun, I traded off my 05 goat for the 06, seems to be a little better car, had a lot of problems with the front struts, and everytime you pulled the E-brake it blew the inside light fuse, plus I gotta helluva deal on the 06

yeah does anybody know what they run in the 1/4? I've looked around a bit but couldn't find a real reliable source, yeah I'd definately consider one if I had a bigger family, they do look clean and they have a v8, only thing is front wheel drive, I'll bet the torque steer is horrible.

Sounds like you had a bad start. Aren't those GPs FWD?

you can make those GXP's faster than LS1 and LS2's very easily, but if you put the same amount of money into a ls1 or ls2 it'd be much faster than a modded gtp or gxp

yeah, I'll bet those cars run high 13s stock, preety quick, yeah I got off to a bad start, my stock tires aren't the greatest and I haven't even put the predator on it yet, I'd have probably beat him by more, because I was pulling preety hard, but we shut em down around 80-85, don't need any tickets.
