Sebring Silver- 98 Z-28 camaro
Got a race lined up, this should be a good one
I have this buddy, well, he used to be anyhow that has a brand new Dodge Rumble Bee truck with the Hemi. Another friend of mine called me out last night saying Phillips truck was making 448 RWHP with just bolt ons.
I told him he was full of shit, there ain't no way in hell that truck is making that much damn power off of just a few bolt on's. He kept saying that's what the shop said that installed all the parts, well, that shop just fucked you buddy! I could see maybe 348 RWHP on a 5.7L hemi but damn they'd have to really respond to mods to even make that. I don't know too much about these new hemi's so someone chime in if I could be wrong. My car is damn fast for what it is, I've got all the major bolt ons such as the LS6 intake, LT's, ORY, cat back, CAI, MSD wires, EGR delete, etc.. My car is also an automatic so racing from a dig won't be a problem unless it breaks traction. We raced back when his truck and my car was stock and I walked him hard to around 70 then let out. What's ya'lls opinion?

Dude, our cars lightly modded run w/ SRT-10's (Rams w/ Viper motors)... I think that Bee will get stung. Race him 3times to shut him up. After 3 losses, he won't be bothering u about his truck...

Well, you guys were absolutely right. We raced three times last night and it was ugly!
The first race he got the jump on me from the light but as soon as I hit second and was able to mat it without spinning the tires I shut down his pull and blew by him, I mean it was like he was sitting still! I pulled about two football fields on him to 100mph then let out, his excuse was lack of traction. O.k., whatever! So we go from a roll this time so he can hook up better, you guys know how LS1's love going from a roll too! We were in second gear and at the third honk we went, hmm, where did he go? Oh hell, he's way back there staring at my taillights! After this race we stop at a gas station close to the interstate, I was grinning ear to ear when I got out of the car too, I heard more excuses than a ricer could make up. I was like damn, you got beat my a 350 hp LS1 camaro so just admit it! Phillip is going back to that speed shop today to get his money back, damn I'm laughing my ass off! I must have 500 RWHP to beat that truck! Yeah right. We raced one more time on the interstate and it was the same outcome..... Some people never learn

Hey may have more power, but he also has a lot more weight - plus the aerodynamics SUCK. Even with the Viper engine the SRT-10 can only eek out 160mph. Plus the Rumble Bee is just a regular pickup with some cool stickers on it, its not like it has the 6.1 Hemi or anything. All those Hemi owners think they have the be-all-end-all with those engines until they get smoked.

Nah, it was proof he didn't have 448 hp. If he did he would have given me a harder run than that.

The 5.7L Hemi is a dog off the line, even with bolt ons. They can cruise on the highway so beware. I work for a dodge dealer and the only vehicles we respect are the 6.1 srts. The jeep is a monster with the AWD from stops and from a roll, the vipers are untouchable with daily driver.

My car comes alive on the highway so I'm not too worried about a Hemi Ram truck, hell, even the chargers are slow as hell. I can't wait for the new challenger though, if it's optioned with a 6-speed then I'll be in line ordering one. I like dodge vehicles but to me a truck ain't a sports car..

That hemi got spanked while my car was running in limp mode pulling 11 codes, damn, if it was running right I'd hate to have seen how bad it would've been
