99 Formula vs 99 C5
I finally got some revenge after that ass in the yellow c5 made me sooo mad. This wasnt the same car, but I got my nightly race fix on it. Started fom a roll at 25mph and I let the vette get on it first. By end of 2nd had 1and1/2 cars and by the middle of third 4 cars, this vette was SLOW. It was an auto but who cares I finally got my first c5. After all the smack that yellow vette talked and wouldnt race I thought maybe there is something special about the vettes, well theres not, its the same damned motor as mine and I can bark them in 4th now. With no mods to the vette c5s, you will smoke em if you have mods, and smoke them BAD! So kiss my ass stock c5s because your no different then me,wait youre slower. Need to see where I stand with a C6? Also, barely beat a Lightening today by 1/2 a car, great race. That guy was amazed that I beat him, he actually said you have a damn fast car, and that felt good coming from the driver of a supercharged V8, even if it is a Ford.

Pewter- '99 Z28 M6
Sweeeeeet vette man. I love those '59 vettes. Ever since I saw TRUE LIES with the governator driving the hell out of one, I have been in love with that body style vette.
Lightnings can be sick modded.
Nice kill on the Vette, he prolly thought you had a big block in there.
EDIT: I got caught up with the '59 and thought that was what you smoked 'em with and you had an LS motor in it. What do you have done to the '59?
Also, I looked at your mods list. If his vette was stock, then the is correct.Last edited by Roastem; 07-20-2006 at 09:40 AM.

Nice kill. I don't think you have enough for a c6 or a c5 z06 yet.

Not even an auto c6 from a roll, not a chance you think or pretty close, guess I wont know until it happens, think it may be closer than you think.

some guy showed his dyno results on his auto c6 and it was 347rwp and 350rwt i think. Thats 40 more hp with 3.42s or 3.53s i think. Who knows.

I agree. The only reason you pulled the c5 so bad is cause you have the gears. The c5 vette has better tuning and exhaust stock, and it is lighter. A c6 would get you, even an auto. Don't get me wrong, your car is comparable to mine according to your sig so I'm not downing you. I'm just saying that the ls2 vettes are pretty damn fast. But anyway, nice kills, its always fun to take a s/c lightning and see their face. ZAPFOOL....

Torch Red- 1997 Corvette
Stock for stock a C5 should be faster than a F-body with equal drivers. Simply because it weighs 300lbs less. When my C5 had just a CAI, I raced alot of f-bodys. If any of them were remotely close to stock I would pull them. I raced a f-body that had full bolt ons, and we were dead even. Also, when I had full bolt ons(no ls6 intake manifold) and raced a cam only fbody with(363 whp), I pulled him by a half car to 120. But, my car was a bit of a factory freak. I got the motor pulled recently and the pistons actually stick out of the block .016 of an inch. Which raises the compression ratio to about 10.5 to 1 on a stock car.

Pewter Metallic- 1999 Camaro Z28 M6
My dad has a C6 6 speed with the Z51 package, B&B bullet exhaust and a chrome rim exchange. I've raced him a couple times and when I raced him when I was stock, he pulled hard on me. From a roll of about 10 mph, he pulled about 3 car lengths by 70 and would have just opened it up even more if we kept in it obviously. After I got a few mods on my car...custom Y-pipe with straight pipes, SLP lid with K&N filter, and an SLP 85mm MAF, as well as pulling my AC belt due to rattling bearing in the AC pulley...I could stay with him a little better. He still pulls me pretty well though, about 2 car lengths by 95. I would guess I am approx. 315-320 rwhp. The vette is prob around 355-360 rwhp and weighs a bit less.
