i'm lowered on a 3" system with pacesetters...the only time i scrape is on huge speed bumps and very steep drive ways/roads that go from incline to flat ground...i always take them at angles, and go very slow over the speed bumps so i rarely scrape..RARELY. you just have to know how to drive a lowered car properly
damn, i missed a lot of stuff i coulda helped out with...sorry i haven't been on here in so long

My 3" duals with h pipe and single chamber flowmaster mufflers.
I have learned not to scrape on speed bumps and driveways, but every now and then they'll hit if the road dips really quick and I'm at highway speeds. I'm runnng them out the back before the end of August.

So i took the car to a performance exhaust shop today and the first thing he says is there is no way to do true duals on my car. So I told him that there are plenty of people running them and that it is possible and that I could get pics if neccessary. So then he starts to back track and finally tells me to bring in my mufflers and he would see if he could mock one up. Now they do good work ive seen 4 different cars they have done and they all have nice clean welds, no leaks and sound good. My worry is though that he will not want to put the effort into doing a more complicated job then he is used to.

So took the car back today and they said dont ever do true duals it cant be done well and to go with a SLP system. So i guess the search continues for a place around here that is willing to do it. If any body knows a good shop around Greensboro, NC please let me know.

you should print out good quality pics of the systems here you like and take them with you and make sure to ask if they can not only just do it, but also make sure to tuck it up so you have ground clearance

my 1st TD setups clearance was like that...it was unacceptable for me. i yanked it off less then a year later and put me current system on...i hope you don't want to lower the car
when i drove by myself i would rarely scrape then (stock suspension)..if i had 1 passenger, i'd scrape sometimes, and if people in the back seats too i'd scrape/hit everything. actually, one time i was racing a guy on a cruise and there was a huge dip on the freeway, i was going about 90-100 with a passenger and hit very hard...so hard in fact i threw sparks all over the other car!

Finally got my exhaust run all the way out back and ditched the Flowmaster ! chambers for some Magnaflow race mufflers (I think part # is 14199) Tips are 5 inch magnaflows that were originally ordered for a diesel app and the guy never picked them up, so they gave me a REALLY good deal on them. Took a little while for them to grow on me, but now I'm glad I got them!

And the shop it was done in:

Wow, so you ran it under your axle. How's clearance?

Not bad at all! The worst part is te high flow cats, I've hit them a few times, but they were kinda just retro fit into the system. Kind of a long story, but I had a place do my original setup, and they f*ed it up BIGTIME!!! The guy that did the back half did a very good job, and actually listened to what I wanted lol. He used to work for Doug Thorley Headers back in the day, and he's been doing exhaust work since the 70's.

Looks good.
It looks like your still stock ride height, so I'm sure that helps.
