No 3rd or 4th gear!!!!
Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem. My tranny refuses to shift into 3rd or 4th gear. All of this was verified today through a Tech II and on a dyno Wiring harness is intact, codes were thrown, tranny fluid level is perfect. I traded tranny setups with this guy who claimed that everything was fine when the shop pulled it out. He did disclose that he replaced the speed sensor and the problem went away. I've already come to the conclusion that a rebuild is in order...but just trying to make sure I'm not over looking something simple before dropping $1k+ on a HP rebuild. Thanks, Q |

the wiring harness to the tranny had some debris in it. I guess it kept the pcm and the tranny from making a good connnection. Now it shifts fine...I have to work out some speed sensor issues now. on the dyno my speedo goes to 85 then crashes...(starts to come back down like someone hit the brakes really hard) may be due to the spliced wires from the th350 swap.
