    turbo crx

well it isn't a kill yet but soon to come. this kid i know had put a turbo on a crx 2 years ago. it was pretty quick, also pretty quick on blowing the engine. well i recently saw him at a car show ang told him i biught a camaro. he wanted to race so i asked if he wanted to but 50 on it. shit i'll put 400 on it he said, wow pretty confident he even told me that he ran a 14 flat, didn't bother to ask what i ran so i didn't tell (13.1) well it apears i may come into a little money here, that will pay for headers almost.

I just got to wait till he breaks in his motor then i will post a great kill story

Hey I would jump at the chance as well. But I would think of a few things first like. Hey he blew his motor maybe he built a good one, I would. Fouteen flat eh what if thats actually twelves flat? Turbos are one thing that scares me. If that things puting out big power watch out. I bet you'll win even if you don't leran how to shift faster.

my car is the auto, i have a friend that went to the track with him so i know it was true, turbos also scare me and he did say he did some engine work, but if he did it would be best to get lower compression pistons which may also slow him down, he is gonna run street tires so even if he does have more power than before he will probably spin at the line, i probably have a month before the race so if i get a cat back or tuuner i can be high 12's, stiffen the shifts in my auto will do wonders the only thing i have is the slp cai and a tuner may work well with that, i dont have traction issue since i have 2.73's so if i can get more top end power it will help me more

Be careful, those cars weigh less than 2000lbs. If you run him from a dig you should be OK but from a roll, you have a 1500lb weight DISadvantage, and if he built his motor up and is running more boost, could be bad. Try and find out for SURE what he is running.

It was about 2 yrs ago. At a nopi national event in ennis texas. It was the us champion in its class that year. There is also a local shop that does 8's in a civic hatchback. The shop is called JOTECH here in dallas. You can see the drivers profile and the car itself in there website.

forget what he says, just put 50 bucks and race with him.. so incase if he wins, than give 50 bucks to him and walk away.. MAN.. get a 3800 stall that would help a lot..

How many of those are you gonna come across at a stoplight?? And if you did lose it wouldnt matter! Put that same amount of money into a V8 and you would kill the CRX no matter what they did to it.

You'd be surprised in the big citys like here in the dallas area. Think about it. You can buy a CRX for about $1500. I know cuz i had one. Plenty of money to waste on it.

The average person who has the money to make a $1500 CRX fast buys something better than a $1500 CRX. You didn't put all of your money in it appairently, because now you have an Evo8, like most people that have had CRXs in the past you didn't screw around with a piece, you ditched it

Unless hes an idiot and stupid with cars id watch it. You prolly have this in the bag but you dont know what all he has done. Speaking that he isnt a retard. He knows what your car is and what its capable of. Telling you he runs 14s and will throw $400 down is the biggest flag to me, once again, unless hes just dum.

the only reason i am going to do this is because he thinks his car is 400hp come on , from one turbo on a stock engine i think not, i had the same situation with a turbo pt cruiser, also in kill stories, that said he had an 11 sec car, i should have put money on that race, i left him sitting like a retard trying to hump a doornob, any way wish me luck because his old room mate even said i would beat him, i may only go 200 on the bet, i don't think he knows much about the ls1, he thinks he can beat me cause he beat a 95 6 speed camaro, yeah those may run 14.5 on the street, he said he pulled 2 lenghts on him. most people who put turbos on 4 cyl. think they are the fastest just because going from 16 sec t0 14 sec is really noticable,

i think well just have to wait and see how bad this crx really is
