Talking Had me a Supercharged Stang for lunch

I was on my way home for lunch going off post when I hear see two Mustang GT's ahead of me. They seemed to be racing each other, so I sped through traffic to catch up them and caught them at a light with lots of traffic. One them kind of messed me with me a little but I didn't bother with him since I saw the other one weaving through traffic so I went after him. I caught him at a light but there was a truck next to him so I got behind him. I noticed he had Emblems on the rear that said 4.6 Supercharged so I threw a rev at him. When the light hits green I waited for him to gun it so I got on it as well. I caught up to him pretty quick and got next to him to catch a look at his face I kept pulling on him and got in front of him. He let off after I had two car lengths on him. After that I took the next right at the red light. He just flew by me and waved a peace sign. This was about a 02 or 03 GT, not sure exactly. This was my first street race in a long time, I don't usually street race but when I heard that supercharger that got me all excited so I went for it.

nice kill! Of all the races I've had, none were more gratifying than the blown 4.6 kills. Granted, I've only raced one blown 4.6, but it's a friend's and we've had at it several times.

Keep it up. The Blue Oval is evil and must die.

Most blown 4.6's are weak. They don't have much usable power (torque) at lower RPM. To get decent times you have to launch on slicks to get the engine in the power band. I used to smoke blown gt's at the track 1/8 mile with my old 97 cobra. They couldn't get a good launch, but would start pulling on the top. A 1/4 track would probally spell a different story. They have alot of peak power if there centrifugal, but not much torque down low. If roots blown, the are decent as proven by the 03-04's and could probally keep up down low, but lose up top.

I love racing blown GT's in my other car. I did have a stall (3500). I had a run with a silver local GT (2000 I belive) awhile back and only took him by about half a car. It was gratifying to take a FI car with an NA car with boltons

The other day I raced a 03 Svt Cobra as well. I live in a in the country in between two towns and it just a matter of pick a town. I was out on a night on the town just looking for a race when a orange cobra pulled up at the Sonic. He was out to race too. So we chated for a while and then drove a few miles in to the country to race. On my way out all my friends were following me and telling me that he would probably beat me. THEY COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG! He took me on the first lonch up in till 40 then I just rolled on passed him. The next were just flat out kills. Then we raced from 60. He must hve felt like crap. But thats what he gets for messing with my T/A. Blue ovals MUST DIE!!!!

Ford made a big mistake by putting an engine with under 300 ci in a wanna be muscle car.

what mods do you have? An 03/04 cobra with just exhaust, pulley and a good tune can put down 450rwhp easy. You sure it wasn't a 99 or 01?

I'm with SevereDistortion on this one. Unless you're modded as hell, you're TA aint taking down an '03 Cobra.
