i want to rip all of my 1998 Camaro sound system and put in a single din radio with 2 12 inch subs in the trunk. Can anyone give me recommendations on speaker brand or just general knowledge?

Sites like Crutchfield.com (if they still exist) can give you the speaker sizes for all of the stock mounting locations and will tell you what fits. In addition to pumping up the wattage, you may need to install some damping materials and work on a few area of the car to minimize vibrations and such that can ruin the sound quality.

    ^^^totally agree.

My stereo sounds much better after I've installed Fat Mat Rattletrap heat & sound deadner. My wife says she doesn't feel the heat from the floors anymore on the passenger side.
