Question Why do you like having/driving your sports car?

I'm inspired by a thread about cars on another site. This could be interesting. I know my answer will be.

#1 I have never been a fan of the cookie cutter crap that dominates the roads these days. Every one of our cars stands out from the crowd.

#2 I am a huge fan of "old school" and "simple". Most of our play cars have hand crank windows, manual locks, no rear defrost, and only 3 of them have AC.

#3 The experience of driving an old car or sports car is like no other. They each have their own individual quirks and handling characteristics.

[had trouble accessing this site for days]

I like that my 4th-gen F-body is reminiscent of the working-class neighborhood I spent some of my childhood in. I even played with similar toy cars then.

The car's bursts of power remind me of me, from outwardly calm to intense. That it stands out without standing out like a sore thumb is another thing I think suits my personality well. (Yellow paint, no thanks.)

Noise and bumps aside, I like feeling the road when I drive. There's a disconnected feeling behind the wheel of some vehicles.

The driver's side is roomy enough, with reasonably comfortable seating. When I was new to cars, way back when, that was hard to find in an affordable sports car.

Of course it just looks cool, tough without being cartoonish like a beast, which I'm not physically and don't want to be. (The hood is a bit much.)

#1 reason - I loath Prius or anything like them except some Tesla cars.

#4 Most cars like Jeff said - boring....

#5 I'm getting to the point that I'm favoring the cars I loved as a teenager more and more. Grew up with the 70's and 80's roaming the streets. Some good body designs just choked in power. But with some modding with those drive trains or even doing a modern drive train swaps you can make them little monsters.
