Hood Gap

Could one of you guys measure out the gap on the hood between the hood and the fender. I'm trying to align my new(ish) hood and having a bitch of a time getting the gap.

I was told use a paint stir stick but I need to know if they are the same thickness.

I'd post pictures but Photobucket is doing some strange stuff right now, but I measured 1/4" gap from the hood to the fender.

Mine is huge, havent figured out how to adjust it yet....

I had a similar issue with mine on both sides...

The gap ran from perfectly ok to too big at the front end.

I made some plastic washers of a decent outside diameter to spread the load and a hole
for the bolt which i think is about quarter inch. If you undo the mounting bolt
and slip it under and in the gap it is invisible and brings the fender over nicely
once re-fastened. You would never know it is there.

If memory serves me i did two different thicknesses of washer to help "taper" the adjustment
to end up with a nice parallel gap. about 3mm and 2mm i think
