    Ls 3

I am swapping motors in my 1955 Chevrolet to a ls 3 to a 700 R4 transmission the ls3 flex plate does not align to the torque convertor ? Chevrolet said there are two different flex plates I have both they do not align. the originally flex plate appears to have had the holes elongated rough measurements bolt holes 9 1/4 center to center and drive gear on flex plate original is 12 7/8 outer edge of the teeth
